Just save it somewhere on your hard drive and then when you have the after pic you will be proud to show what you used to look like and show people the new you.

In fact, anyone know of a free pic hosting site to post my before and after pics? I'll post a pic of what I used to look like with a 38" waist.

If so please advise here and I'll post them up and share them with you bitches.

Thanks.

Thanks for that, VinBaltimore.

Here are two pics. Before and after.
Now granted these pics are 10 years apart but I made the changes within less than a year. I just happened to run across an old pic of myself so here it is. I thought I was muscled in this pic back then at 240lb. I had a 38" waist and as you can see was a fatty.

This pic was taken last May and I'm 242lb but with an entirely different body composition. I'd post more pics but I'm naked in them and I don't think photo bucket will allow this. But in this photo my waist is 33" and I'm much harder.

Holy crap. I wish I looked half as good as you did in your "fat" pic. LOL!

I'm with the OP on this one. I can't stomach taking a picture of myself shirtless right now.

Ok.. we hear that you're not happy with the way you look
but to change that fact you have to live it...you have to own it and you have to be able not to deny how you look to the world
without accepting yourself for who you are right now
you're going to find it difficult to change into something else

Dude, it's okay. For most of us, in order to truly accept ourselves for what we are and make a conscious decision to make a change, we have to see ourselves through the uncaring and cold eye of the camera lens. Seriously and critically seeing yourself will give you that much more determination and ambition to make the change for the better, and for yourself, not for any man.

So yeah, I was about 20 pounds heavier here. I look particularly scary because it's like 6:30 am (soooo not a morning person). And that weird look on my face? I was mid yelling at boyfriend about something or other and he snapped the photo.

And MuchMore - The before is amazing enough, but the after is just PHENOMEONAL. Very inspiring.

Coming at it from the other end--having needed to gain weight, not lose it--I really wish I had kept a shirtless picture of me in the before mode. when you make the changes, you'll really wish you had the old image. You don't need to post it now, but you'll want to save it.

I had to hit rock bottom aka 351 pounds and a waist size of 54 inches before I finally got myself together. After 4 years I am still working on it and every day is a challenge, but its a fight worth fighting. I feel younger, better, and healthier!

Best of luck to you!

Damn, some of you guys are really making it harder for the fatties to continue whining in the future. And I mean "fattie" in the best way possible: I enjoy fatmen as they are. Dudn't mean I've lost all grip on reality : fat is not supposed to be permanent, we are no longer a nomadic species.

Congratulations to those guys who have successfully lost weight...

I hope that NoNameGuy will take inspiration from those who shared their photos. Put your mind into it NoNameGuy and you will succeed.
My neighbour has lost 50 pounds in the past year. She looks great! She keeps a before photo on her fridge.
My Assistant at work went from 360 pounds to 260 pounds, it took him over two years.
Another friend recently emailed a photo of himself with his shirt off, he was proud of losing 15 pounds and wanted to share. (I had never see him shirtless before)

A work colleague recently passed away in July, from causes related to her obesity. (Kidney failure, Liver failure, and Heart failure).
I have told a number of people in the last month, in hopes that someone will take inspiration from her story and start making a changes in their life.

On the right side I had gained even 30 pounds more after that. Size 48/50 down to a loose 38/tight 36 now. Down from XXL and XXXL shirts to L. Left side is I think 2 weeks ago lost 112 pounds in 16 months now. All your posts sound so depressing. If I can do it so can you , you need to hop off the sadness train right now. No one needs to see your pics but you will be glad you took some in some months, cause the progress is gonna make you happy, who cares about everyone else...I wish you the best and I am sure you will succeed !

All of these transformations have been stupendous
and I have to hand it you guys...

We all have made decisions in our lives and have changed ways of eating
ways of exercising and working out

But the thing is you have to do it
and stick to it

It's easy to complain and tell yourself you got a bad hand in life
and maybe you did
but you sure don't have to live that way
and these guys are all the living proof you need

I tore up the "before" pictures of myself, when I decided it was time to change....in some ways I regret it and think I did it on a whim, and should have kept them to moderate my progress, but in another respect it marked a turning point for me.
Even if others forget, how I uesed to look on the outside, I will still remember how it feels to be like that on the inside, and would never go back without a fight.
Having walked on both sides of the line it has also opened my eyes as to how shallow people can be, and taught me valuble lessons in life.

OK here is mine, 10 yrs ago. It's been a long haul! I had the opposite problem (and people always say they hate me ha ha) which is that it's been very hard to gain weight -- lean body type + high metabolism. While my challenge has probably been easier than most have to deal with, my feelings about the old pic are the same--I actually had a shirtless one but I didn't save it.

That is amazing! I'll agree; I wouldn't have believed you had a "before" like that. You look great!!
I avoided cameras like the plague so I really don't have any of my pics of me at 285. (and I think I've killed everybody that did,) so I guess my profile pic now is the before. That's about 50lbs lighter, but that's also about as brave as I'll be until the complete "after". I promise when things are more showable, I won't even hide behind the dog!

I am in the "Get Lean Phase" now. I basically prepare one meal that fits in my lunch box and eat from it all day at work. I also incorporate fruits and protein snacks.

I HATE cardio!! Ugh! But I gotta do it. It's cool that I now have two workout buddies from Turkey - Ridvan and Mehmet. Both are professional bodybuilders who make me laugh everyday with their crazy Turkish jokes.

I started a few years back at 260+lb. I say "+" because I was scared to weigh myself once I hit 260.

I'm at 175-180 now (175 in my profile pic) depending on how much I party on the weekends, haha. Working on cutting up now, another month or so and I should be at my goal.

About 10 years ago I hired my first personal trainer and he took pics with out my shirt and holding a newspaper to show the date.

A couple of years later I had not lost that much and ran across them and was so disgusted that I threw them away. (should have had them on digital...lol)

Now I wish I really had them again to show what changes can be made. I have people all the time say that I could have never been fat. I need proof...and don't have it. It's a sad day for a personal trainer when he doesn't have his old pics......lol

Unfortunately I don't have the file with me since I'm at an internet cafe, but my before and after is my current profile picture. Went from a top weight of about 225 at the time that picture was taken down to 190 within about a year and a half. Now I've gained about 7 pounds of that back, but I'm working on starting up my routine again. Since I started my Peace Corps service, it's been hard to keep a regular training schedule. But now that I'm finished with pre-service training I'm going to try and find a gym in my city, and if I can't find one I'm going to figure out some sort of training regiment.

The thing is, I don't necessarily think you need to take a shirtless before picture to be able to look back and see your progress. I strenuously avoided pictures because I knew I looked terrible in them, but I can see just by looking at my face how much progress I've made. That might be good enough for you.

This is probably the most inspiring thing I've seen on this site. There is such amazing commitment, drive and self-valuing represented here. It's kinda the kick in the butt I need to look at things I'm not totally satisfied with in my life, and do something about it--big and small. Thanks for sharing, men!

NoNameguy I wouldn't worry about posting pictures anywhere, just try and focus and changing your lifestyle a little bit each day or even week. You certainly don't have to do it on RJ.

Also remember that you are doing it for your long-term health not just to get kudos from other guys (although that is nice too).

My doctor complimenting me on reaching my blood pressure and bad cholesterol goals was a great reward in itself.

Take the pics, and love them: you'll be looking nasty for some time yet. (speaking of which, I should post my pics from last year when I looked like a terminal cancer patient)

My first post here!

Well here is my before and after pictures. The before picture is about 4 years ago this September. The second picture is one I took a few days ago.

NoNameGuy: It's a lot of work, and I have had my ups and downs. I lost weight but only recently I started working out the muscles and gaining muscle. Takes time and dedication.

A trainer for me and my boyfriend really jump started us a while back, its a great idea for beginners. Good luck, you can do it.

I definitely put on a few pounds since I started law school and since I stopped smoking. I think I look pretty gross in my "Before" pic, too - but, I'm posting it anyway to give myself the motivation to hit the gym hard and show you all the hot bod' underneath.

Chizzad saidWell dayum, I was not fat but if I can post this then you can post yours!

But with years of dedication and a lot of effort.........

Let your "now" picture motivate you to become your before picture!

That is truly amazing. I aspire to that transformation.

i was checking out some of the pics of members doing the 12 week programs. so far, i've seen people with either just the before pics, or some with before and after and they don't look very different.

i am going to be joining a gym in the next few weeks, it's been a couple years since i have worked out regularly and i want to start the 12 week program here but it would be cool to find some inspirational before and afters (from this program)

anyone have a profile, or seen one, with a significant loss of fat?

thanks!

I just started this week, so I dont have any results pics yet. I gotta say though, I find the program challenging but easy to navigate through. I'm looking forward to seeing my results!

Before and after pics serve their purpose they inspire everyone else to press on to win the the battle. I went from 300 lbs to 228 almost at my goal of 190.

OK, never posted an image on here before, but here goes:

Grr, I did what the image thing says, but it didn't work, so here's the links:

http://picasaweb.google.com/james.johnsonDC/UntitledAlbum#5242519103707798978

Those are from last December and I don't look much different from then, maybe 5 pounds more of muscle. I rarely take shirtless pics because I don't like how I look shirtless. I've never had a six pack in my life, and I know that not having a six pack is akin to having leprosy among the gay community.

My main problem comes from wanting to be bigger, but not having the funds and/or time to dedicate to the roids, supplements, or hours of training in the gym. I also don't have a lifting partner, so I can't really lift heavy. I do push myself as heavy as I can lift, but without a spotter, I'm worried about going heavier.

I thought of going more for the thin and toned look, but I have a pretty slow metabolism and hate doing cardio. So I just eat less.

So if anyone has advice, shoot me a private email. I don't really know if I could do roids for the fact that I hate needles, however.

Before pics are always HORRIBLE! I have mine all in a nice box and stowed away. I leave a couple out just to remind my self of where I was at. I used to weigh 345 lbs, had a 46 inch waist and a 56 inch chest. I wasn't able to buy many clothes in regular stores and that was REALLY depressing which made me gain more! Starting 1/1/2002, I decided to change that, watched what I ate and started hitting 24 hour Fitness 5 days/we (I had a membership there for 2 years prior, paid for it and never used it). Now I am down to 190 lbs, a 32 inch waist and 42-44 inch chest. I have maintained here for years and intend to do so BUT it is only occasionally seeing how I was before that really continues to give me the drive to do so! I will NEVER go back to how I was!
I still have a bit of work to do but I feel so much better and my outlook on life has improved so much!

In a nutshell, TAKE THE PICTURE! You don't have to show anyone the photo but keep it for yourself to remind you of where you were!

Thanks guys, you all ROCK!

I had to hit rock bottom aka 351 pounds and a waist size of 54 inches before I finally got myself together. After 4 years I am still working on it and every day is a challenge, but its a fight worth fighting. I feel younger, better, and healthier!

Best of luck to you!

Sinningguy,

To hell with the picture...
That's for you and your own personal incentive.

If you want to share your results (and GOOD FOR YOU!!!) just place your measurements and weight in your profile or a thread and update it once a week.

ROCK ON!!
