I have a body odor problem that won't go away, it's gotten to be a real problem for me in my personal life and work life.

I shower every day and always use deodorant, finally today I decided to go to the doctor's and do something about it. They have given me this anti sweat cream that I hope will work.

I also eat A LOT of cheese, so I am cutting that out of my diet. Have you guys ever had this problem? any advice on what could reduce it?

Is it odor or excessive perspiration? There's a big difference.

    Darren,
I use Crystal Body Deodorant. It kills the bacteria responsible for the odor and is actually more healthy for you than deodorants containing aluminum. Here is the website you can research:

    http://www.thecrystal.com

    It's available everywhere. Good luck.

If I remember correctly cheese is said to be the biggest culprit in causing body odor. Good idea on cutting down.

This product actually works pretty good if you take it regularly. It's basically seaweed in a pill form, but it absorbs odors.

Be aware, that it will turn your poop bright seaweed green, but you will find that your body odor's will all diminish gradually while you are using it. It takes about a week of taking it daily before it kicks in, but it is effective.

If you go to Nordstrom, go to the skin care section..

There is a brand called Kiehls, and they sell this "anti perspirant cream"

It is made with lemon, orange and citrus extract, and it is amazing!

I am 225 lbs and I sweat like a monster when I work out, but after the gym, I used this and I NEVER SMELL.

The best thing about it is that it vanishes into your skin like a lotion or hand cream. There is no flaky white residue or mess on your clothes.

If a 225 lb guy like me can stop smelling with this Anti perspirant/deodorant, then I think it will work for you as well!!

OP, I don't know if this applies to you, but when I ate fast food, Doritos, Mountain Dew, dairy, candy & sweets, smoked, and drank a lot, I had a body odour problem too. It all went away with clean living, in spite of generous portions of garlic.

Sounds like you need to do a full body Detox; Moving forward, keeping your diet clean will also help.

A friend of mine in Berlin shaves his armpit hair and swears that it has significantly cut down body odor. He also drinks lots of water. I'm not advocating shaving but maybe trimming (if you have lots of hair) might help. Hair does have a tendency to retain body oils and odors. Just a thought.

This is awkward, but what does your guys' sweat smell like? I swear I either have a terrible sense of smell or I don't smell bad even if I sweat. Although then other times I'm sweating and smell something bad and suspect it's me, but when I smell myself, it doesn't seem to be me... icon_confused.gif

I wipe my armpits with some rubbing alcohol or Sea Breeze and that keeps the smell away for at least a few days. Drinking lots of water helps. And try not to sit with your arms close to your sides like i do, that seems to be my biggest problem. icon_smile.gif

I haven't used this in years, but I have considered ordering it again. It's supposed to deodorize you from the inside out - because - I'm sure diet has a part to play, but there are times when I am just flat stanky at the gym - even though I have used a ton of deodorant.

This is supposed to work from the inside out. - This is actually supposed to be prescribed for people with Chronic Halitosis (really bad breath).

It will actually help with - morning breath, underarm/sweat odors, and the stinky poo poo... (seriously)

It diminishes gradually over time, but you will notice a difference in about a week.

So, if you eat a lot of those seaweed snack sheet things, you might get the same effect.

i kinda like the natural scent of a man, provided he has good hygiene. Like if you took a shower in the morning then went outside to mow the lawn, a little BO would be kinda sexy to me. But that's fresh BO on a clean body. BO that has been festering over the last few days from not washing your ass is groosss.
