    me and my partner are checking countries that allow same sex couples to apply together for immigration
    Did anyone apply with his same sex partner or have any details about that matter?

    I really don't have any info for you guys, other than it is not possible in the US and if neither of you guys is an EU citizen they are not throwing the doors open either. Good luck and hope you find something.

    According to the article (from 2010 so there may be more now) these countries current do:
    Australia
    Belgium
    Brazil
    Canada
    Denmark
    Finland
    France
    Germany
    Iceland
    Israel
    Netherlands
    New Zealand
    Norway
    South Africa
    Sweden
    United Kingdom

    You forgot Spain. We emmigrated from Mexico to Spain ten years ago. It was a painless process and is even easier now. Spain has a fully comprehensive law making same sex couples the same under the law as straight couples including the ability to adopt children.     You have to be an Australian citizen to sponsor your same sex partner for a permanent stay visa .
    As an example , if both of you are U.S citizens and one of you get a permanent visa , he will only be able to sponsor his partner after he had gotten his Australian citizenship .
