Demand outstrips supply here (for inexpensive digs).

Contact RJ'r "beaukiller". He's moving here around the 27th as well and maybe you two might be able to help each other.

Dude, if you're using words from your profile like, "I'm a broke ass college student," then folks aren't going to see any stability to rent or live with you. Surely, I hope you're not going to attempt to work while in nursing school. You'll need to mention and/or prove some kind of financial support to give people incentive to reply. Best of luck to you with housing and your nursing career.

THIS! If you're going to take out a lease, you are going to need to have a good credit report, references from previous landlords (ideally), and proof that you have a job.

San Francisco has rent control and the laws are strict once a landlord has rented to a tenant. Don't expect to just come to The City and have a red carpet rolled out for you.

This is why you need to network and make friends ASAP.

P.S. The City will either "accept" you, or "reject" you like an allergic immune response. Your attitude has a lot to do in determining which happens.

This! It's hard to find rentals so rooms go very fast! Keep your ad positive and really emphasize your good points and what you can offer as a responsible roommate. Good luck.

    Um..

As the most expensive property and rental market in the country (yes, more expensive rents than Manhattan), SF would be on the extreme left hand side of the above chart. Meaning, nobody needs to gives a shit about you. You're gonna have to just deal. It's the price of entry.

Well I'm not using it when I'm sending an email to someone I'm trying to rent from . Also, I'm using financial aid to help with the rent and having my parents co-sign if everything else fails. Also, I kind do have to work since how am I going to be eating and affording the cost of just living up there?! Everything is so overpriced even the bananas and food are...
