Say something encouraging to our brothers on RJ whom could use some support, regardless of whatever issues they are dealing with. It strikes and disturbs me as how cruel the world can be, so let's have each other's back starting from this humble yet sincere post.

Also, I hope that social or racial differences does not generalize one's integrity.

    of gaining our own esteem.
    -- Samuel Johnson

The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm
terrible, but they have never found these dangers
    sufficient reason for remaining ashore.

When We Hit Our Lowest Point, We Are Opened To The Greatest Change
-Unknown (was quote on legend of korra)

"I am grateful to have been loved and to be loved now and to be able to love, because that liberates. Love liberates. It doesn't just hold—that's ego. Love liberates. It doesn't bind. Love says, 'I love you. I love you if you're in China. I love you if you're across town. I love you if you're in Harlem. I love you. I would like to be near you. I'd like to have your arms around me. I'd like to hear your voice in my ear. But that's not possible now, so I love you. Go.'"
    Dr. Maya Angelou

“In the matter of religion, people eagerly fasten their eyes on the difference between their own creed and yours; whilst the charm of the study is in finding the agreements and identities in all the religions of humanity.”
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

“Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.”
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

“Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to the end, requires some of the same courage which a soldier needs.”
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

    Do something.
    Doing nothing won't change anything.

    Get started.
If you get started, it's likely that you'll keep going.

    Ask for help.
There are millions of people and resources out there, for you.

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
So with that knowledge take your 90% and ignore all those haters and negative counter productive people. And if they just keep pestering jumping it into 11%... Take that 89% and tell them to "FUCK OFF!"

Nahh I ain't mad..just teling it like it is.

If you want encouragement, survive your death and listen to the eulogy.

If you want nothing but the truth, go to court.

icon_smile.gif i'm not a regular thread-poster on my other account, nor am i trying to defend myself in other ways. but i am a very regular reader and have made lots of observations.

I understand the term "sock account", but i'm not trying to be someone i am not. instead, i'm trying to express who i really am. and i feel that the best way to do so is through this thread. hope this does not upset anyone.

Why couldn't you just create this thread with your normal original account?

    I think it's a nice thread icon_biggrin.gif
I believe one of your love languages is words of affirmation, which is cool icon_smile.gif

This is going to sound major mushy/'trying to be text book answer' but one thing that I like doing is when you feel helpless yourself, often giving someone else a hand or giving them words of encouragement also enriches your own soul too.

At least for me it reiterates to myself that even in the midst of 'feeling' useless/crap/hopeless etc, you still can have something to offer if you offer it.

Hope that matches this thread and hasn't veered off topic.

I have an extremely low-self esteem, which i know is a big turn off for most gay men who is always so confident with themselves. but having low-self esteem should not stop me from supporting our friends out there. which explains this decision to go anonymous.

but hey, I may be encouraging others on here, but that does not mean i'm perfect icon_smile.gif i'm also learning to be a better person each day.

anyway, this thread is really not about me, but dedicated for everyone. sorry to have written so much of myself icon_razz.gif

I don't mean to be obtuse but I don't get how having low self esteem has any correlation to not being able to post a thread on so broad and impersonal a topic as 'post encouraging text memes' with your normal account and merits the creation of a second sock account (for whatever purposes, a second account anywhere is a sock account).
