Coulter on Sunday also weighed in recent polls that show a dramatic increase in support for same-sex marriage.

"When you see crowds like that coming out [to support Chick-fil-A], no, I'm sorry, I don't believe the polls on gay marriage. Let us vote. Those polls I believe, and it makes me suspicious at the polls on the presidential election."

GOProud, a national organization of gay conservatives and their allies has appointed Ann Coulter as Honorary Chair of their Advisory Council.

    fuck this cunt!

her attempting to dismiss the polls showing support of same-sex marriage is yet another example of how conservatives ignore quantitative facts.

But, but, but... doesn't the conservaposse here love Ann Coulter? Guys like socalfitness, CuriousJockAZ, and others - they ADORE Ann Coulter, favorably quoting her and her sources all the time.

I guess I'm just puzzled. How can these self-avowed gay guys endorse Ann Coulter, who's a known homophobe? Perhaps they can clarify their support of her, and other Right Wing homophobes?

This is a freedom of speech issue!

She has a right to state her opinion, and you guys have no right to have an opinion on what she says.

    You guys are so hypocritical!

eightball, he was mocking the responses of conservatives. That's how they reacted to the Chick-fil-A boycott.

I love how people say we should vote to allow people to get married, but it's perfectly fine to send Americans off to war whenever the President wants.

I don't consider Ann Coulter a homophobe at all. In fact, I think she is actually a friend of the gays. Some gays just don't get her brand of humor, or they don't appreciate the fact that she speaks her mind and let's the chips fall where they may. I find her grating at times, amusing at others. If that makes me a bad gay, so be it.

Your intentions are well-meant, but I must express my abhorrence at your (understandable) ignorance.
No government, persons, person, people, entity, or committee on Earth has the authority to "allow" anyone to exercise rights:
People are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights
Government does not grant or give us our rights.
I obviously agree that same-sex marriage ought to be recognized, but I refuse to hand over that kind of authority to government.
I prefer to avoid the quick-fix and would rather wait until the citizenry is sufficiently educated about true republicanism and republican virtue (note "republican" with a lower-case R). Otherwise, we risk (long time or short) falling victim to the bloody and savage derapage that attended the French Revolution, and the absolute dystopian hell which was begun by the October Revolution.

Yeah, because the Civil Rights movement certainly led to French Revolution. Black people should have just waited until racists wised up.

I'm starting to realize that gay Republicans are just Baby Boomers with low IQs.

I would agree with her "pro-marriage" argument, giving people the benefit of the doubt. I also was born at night, but not last night, and it's obvious a large percentage of the CFA supporters hate 'dem goddamn homosexuals, and that's why they showed up to CFA's hate day.

That said, Ann does make a good point about polls vs. voting. The polls do show people supporting marriage equality, but when it comes voting time, things don't seem to pass. It's just a reminder of how much work lies ahead, and how much educating we need to do to help people understand something with which they are entirely unfamiliar.

Of the many cray cray things Ms. Coulter has said in her time, and boy have there been plenty of them, this was one of her more level-headed offerings.

You vote for laws that discriminate and are crafted out of hatred. Maybe you personally feel apathy, but those you support are hate mongers.
