    A co-worker swears by this:

Have your back against the wall as if you were sitting in a chair.

He tells me not to exceed this position for more than two minutes, since I've only been doing this recently.

Anybody here ever get results with this?

Definitely works, I've done it for a few years. As you get better do your wall sit with your toes up off the ground and also the heels.

Trust me, you'll feel the burn.icon_surprised.gif

it's a static hold... which is why it's so effective icon_biggrin.gif

It's just like if someone was bench a weight off their chest, and then hold it up at full extension for as long as they can. It's all about endurance at that angle icon_biggrin.gif

One of my football coaches used to make us do this for a minute at a time... with 45 pound weights on our laps!

The more built played would have to do 45 & 25 pound weights.

Well one day, a kid tried doing 2 45 pound weights, and his legs gave out about 40 secs into the lift, and he reached his hands down mid collapse to try to catch the weights, and his finger got stuck in between the weights and the tip was completely severed from his finger! icon_eek.gif

Was quite gruesome, and we stopped using the weights after that!

My spin instructor was doing these the other day and I was like, "that doesn't look hard - what are you doing". She proceeded to tell me, I tried it and it was DEFINITELY hard. icon_smile.gif

I'm going to take all these suggestions and anecdotes into account.
    Thanks a lot!
