    Part of the sacrifice of using a SLR, trying to decide which lens to take with ya.
    Did good with what you had though.
    Could always get yourself a tamron 18-270 for those times when you just want to carry the one lens around. Or since you're shooting on a nikon could get the 18-300 they've just released.

    Where was that taken anyway?

    I just had a similar experience with a bald eagle shot. All I had was my 18-55 and u know he wasn't going to let me get close enough to shoot him.

    Silly men buying expensive cameras and multiple lenses. Get a decent megazoom and ditch your precious DSLR. Many professionals are with great results for print and more.
