I used to love watching them. The older I get the less they resonate with me. I also seem to be cursed with the coverage. Every time I turn it on there is a sport I dislike being shown. Synchronized diving, boxing, fencing, cycling races that last for 5 hours plus!

I can't wait until the track & field running events start. I also like court volleyball, soccer and swimming.

Thing is it's all too much for me to be able to follow. They should make the Olympics a worldwide holiday so I could watch more than just what I skim through on the Tivo in an hour or so every night.

Hehe, I'm about the opposite. I really enjoy the diving, boxing, and fencing, but am not such a big fan of court volleyball and swimming. I do enjoy the soccer though, and find cycling boring.

There is just way too much on to watch all of it, especially if you have a life or a full-time job.

The recaps of the highlights and hot boys are plenty for me, but I don't much care to see the fencing and women's volleyball... yawn....

We're falling into a malady that has been very present here in New England for the past few years. During the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics championship runs, people would be up late watching the games, and everyone would come to work exhausted. I'm finding that again. I planned on going to bed at 11 p.m. last night, but I had to see the end of the gymnastics. That was great. The Chinese were incredible (and so hunky!)

I get obsessed over the mens gymnastics, diving, swimming, beach volleyball and that's about it. By the second week I usually have a lot of catching up to do personally & profesionally.

I bet it was awesome to actually go to the olympics. I plan to go one day. Love watching gymnastics, swimming and the track and field events. I have been watching some water polo and gotten interested in it. The opening and closing ceremonies are amazing as well. My fave is tennis, even if I do watch it all season long.

The Summer Olympics is the only televised sports event that gets 100% of my attention... seriously. I often check in with the NBC Olympics website for updates while at work, and love to flag people down at work to talk about it. I am sure I am driving everyone around me nuts, but at least they only have to deal with me like this once every four years.

I dreamed I was in the Olympics last night, so I know I'm spending too much time watching them! In my dream, I was disappointed at my time in the Men's 200 Meter Freestyle until I remembered I ran two races earlier in the day and was tired from that.

    i'm an olympic-a-holic. i watch and/or record everything olympics.

for me, it combines the majesty of elite athletic talent with pure and raw emotion.

ok, and, the boys are simply beautiful to watch.

also, its when the international community "tries" to put aside their differences and respect one another. why can't they do that the rest of the time?

    i love the olympics.
