Excellent list. Thanx for posting, OP.
I'm guilty of just a few
Dillards, but only their deeply discounted crap. I last bought about 5 gorgeous shirts for about 30 or 40 bucks. I'm pretty sure they ain't making any money off me but for what they write off their taxes.
Ace Hardware. There's one so much closer than HomoDepot but I only buy stuff if it doesn't cost more to drive the distance for the cheaper item and I only buy very few items there like, oh, I need three of these stainless steel screws please. So probably it costs them more to help me find an item than they make from me in profit.
Lowes? Bummer. I've spent significant money with them. Will have to stop shopping there.
Publix. That's gonna be tough to stop shopping. I can reduce trips using Sweetbay (which I actually like better but they are further away) so practically and realistically speaking, I don't know if I'll be avoid them entirely.
I have used Century 21 and Sotheby's, no problem omitting either.
Mr. Coffee? Oh no, not you Mr. Coffee. Oh well, when it breaks I'll find something else.
Yikes. They've got Stanley, Black & Decker & DeWalt. What's left, my EasyBakeOven?
And Berkshire Hathaway? Uncle Warren, say it isn't so!
Lennar I'm surprised at too. I've met one of the Miller heirs through my cousin who is good friends and I never would have associated homophobia with that family.
Franklin Templeton, was just having drinks the other night with a gay guy who works there. Guess that's his problem more than mine.
Rockport shoes. Oh that sucks; I like them as they almost always have the wide widths for my flipper feet, great for swimming, horrible for buying shoes.
Not that I buy into fashion to begin with so I'm gay-safe but I can see a few gay feathers ruffled: Needless Markup, Armani, Gucci & Polo, oh, excellent, and Sacked. That's actually kind of funny.
No more Bonefish Grill. They're only fair anyway. And no more Carrabba which I don't even like but wind up there when other people want to go.
Gonna be tough giving up Hess. Best prices in town. Years ago I toured of one of their refineries and got to see what the public normally does not. Though I'm sure this goes on at all the refineries, what crap they pour into the environment after they've "cleaned it" is fucking gross.
Looks like most of the food we shouldn't eat is what we shouldn't eat anyway. Not a problem in that department except maybe Del Monte on occasions I can avoid and Chiquita (that will be tough to avoid but there's already so many issues with them anyway--just read about the politics of bananas, yikes).
For McCormick spices & Smuckers jams I can find substitutes.
Oh no, not Play-Doh. now what will i do?
Very surprised at Harley-Davidson. What will the dykes ride in the gay pride parades?
Verizon. Well, that sucks. Not sure what I'm going to do about that.
Harpo. Shock. Anyone for some new age religion. Fuck you too, Opra.
National Geographic? Are you fucking kidding me. Didn't I see a bonobo special on there?
Virgin Media surprises me too. Anyone gotta orgy pic of Branson to post?
