Or would that be Deep Impact?

I love it when the space shuttles manoeuvre through the asteroids - it's just like Star Wars but in the present day. This could really happen.

    Isn't Ben Affleck a hunk?

    could be.

    I guess so.

    Not really.

One of the worst movies ever, but really who is counting.

    ha ha ha!! No doubt!

But, since you asked, I thought Deep Impact was the worst. Armageddon had higher production value and was more fun to watch. Deep Impact just sucked.

If you want to know a fun little "fact", Dreamworks got wind that Disney was making an Asteroid movie and started producing Deep Impact way after Armageddon was already in production. Yet, Deep Impact came out first. That's why it sucked so bad - it was fast tracked so their "asteroid movie" came out first.

The same thing happened with Ants and Bug's Life.

Armageddon was ok. One movie that didn't age well is Titanic. Even though I worshiped that movie back then, now a lot of it seems so cheesy (I'VE SINNED!!!!! I'VE SINNED!! AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!). I still do enjoy the movie every once in a blue moon. icon_biggrin.gif

    That goes for Armageddon too!

I'm just a movie obsessed nerd.

Try being stuck in an airplane 7 miles up on a trip back from Hawaii with nothing to do but watch "Armageddon". It was excruciating.

I liked Deep Impact. I thought it was well-done, well-acted and quite moving.

Armageddon was one of the worst movies ever. Amazing, how they managed to trivialize the END OF THE WORLD. But they did it.

I never liked Titanic. My friends were so incredulous that I didn't like it that I saw it a 2nd time, thinking I'd missed something. I thought it would be an interesting comment on our overconfidence in technology, which could be a good lesson for today. Instead it was a dumb love story between two unlikable characters. When Jack finally slid, blue and dead, beneath the sea, I thought, "Thank God!"

Armageddon wasn't so awful. I've had bowel movements more entertaining than Deep Impact.

Bothish, the characters in Deep Impact had more credibility.

    Uh, no, not really.

    Someone slap this man.

Though they were both pretty farkin stoopid, I thought that Armageddon was a lot of fun. But then, I've spent a lot of time working with drillers and with NASA, so it was like one big inside joke to me.
Deep Impact just made me want to hurl. Too many "sob now" strings and after-school-movie points.
