I dony know if it means anything or not but just had a story on the local news that Paul Ryan took an un-scheduled vacation starting on Wednesday. They said the timing was odd because of the Romney choice for VP on Thursday.

Where are you hearing that Romney's VP choice is Thursday? Haven't seen that confirmed anywhere -- unless I missed it. I did see Romney doing an interview yesterday during which he mentioned that the campaign has indulged in some diversionary tactics to throw the press and others off as to any hint of WHO the V.P. pick might be --- referring specifically that the announced speakers at the upcoming GOP convention does not necessarily eliminate any of those names as possible contenders. That said, that could mean Conde Rice is still a possibility, albeit a slim one. I still think that it will be a surprise...someone that is not one of the usual suspects people are expecting it to be.

    PLEASE let it be Ryan!

That would guarantee an Obama landslide. icon_lol.gif

I don't think it will be Ryan, but I do not think it would be a bad or disastrous choice either. There are no guarantees for a landslide in this election on either side.

From your lips to God's ears.

I bet those Florida retirees and Ohio steelworkers will LOVE Ryan's plan to get rid of Medicaire. Please, please, please. That Mormon/Ayn Rand ticket will go over so well in the heartland.

Give Willard another world tour, and there will definitely be an Obama landslide victory.

Willard (and his wife) believe that they are above "you people" mentioned in this reply.

    Link or it didn't happen.

Also, isn't your Congress traditionally on recess during August as DC is an unbearably hot and humid shithole?

It was when I worked there.

Ok, so I was 2 days late on my prediction. He will anounce it on saturday instead of thursday. With Romney down because of the sleaze Obama has been lying about it may as well be Ryan as VP choice. He can out-debate Obama or Biden. Its time to take off the gloves and throw some hay makers back at sleazy Obama. American will not survive another 4 years of Obama.

Its time Paul Ryan. Time to change the tone of this election. Its time for America to tackle the tough choices it has to make. Its time to have a real debate on the direction of this country. its time to tell the American people the truth about our country's econmic disaster. If the country can handle such a debate then Romney will win.

I hope the democrats get what they wish for. Romney has nothing to lose by choosing Paul ryan as VP. He is a lightning rod but IT'S TIME.

As much trouble as Romney's handlers have keeping him away from 'unscripted' settings because of how out of touch he is with Everyday Americans, maybe they picked Ryan because he is at least a bit less likely to make gaff's. they've forgotten though, that Ryan will have to meet a lot of little old people that he wants to cut off of medical assistance. Those ought to charming get togethers eh ??? Looks like a lose lose proposition for the repubs
