Thought I'd start a post about movies. It can be any type of movie. It doesn't have to be gay related. Just thought this would be a great thread to start and this way we can all learn about what's out there and get feedback. Feel free to recommend or critique any movie you're recently seen, whether it's out in theaters or something you rented.

Last week I saw The Dark Knight. I liked it a lot. Can't say I liked it better or less than the first one. I really enjoyed Heath Ledger's performance. He really was talented. If I reminisce about his past movie performances I can honestly say that he had such a chameleon like way and could completely transform himself into such different roles. It really is a shame. Actors like Tom Cruise, while he makes a lot more money, basically regurgitate the same personality over and over again movie after movie.
I recommend The Dark Knight. I'm sure most have seen it already.

So who else? Any recommendations?

Some very good movies I've recently watched

Donnie Darko - started off light, I thought it was a teen comedy and stuff... then turned rather dark and deep. I won't spoil it, suffice to say, it takes a very weird turn later on and leaves you thinking about existence in general. And I really loved the last song Mad World by Gary Jules which is also on the Gears of War soundtrack.

Eden Log - French Science Fiction film. Innovative and deeply noir. I didn't much like the ending though, and I didn't understand some of the main plot themes... like grafting. I won't spoil it, LOL.

Juno - Endearing movie, that's all.

The Man From Earth - Cerebral science fiction. NO special effects at all but still manages to make you think more deeply about yourself and this world. Highly recommended. Be warned, it's all TALK, if you can't stand movies like that, don't watch this.

What!?! A hot motherfucker like you starts a thread and noone is here? FINE!! I'm gonna hijack this thread the same way I'd hijack your ass if it were here. I night this new thread thee "WHAT WOULD GUILTY WATCH THREAD!!" From here on out, I'm gonna be telling you what Guilty watches people, and since my taste are so great, most of you won't have seen these movies or if you did, you turned your nose up because you think you are all that.

My first gem has been touted as ONE OF THE BEST B MOVIES EVER, a title which is more than fitting.

..................................................(1985)

This movie is not some recent high budgeted outing by HollyWood, but rather a good ole tried and true classic. This is back when directors could take a buncha folks and make a bang-up movie without everyone being a star and every other shot being CGI.

The movie stars Patrick Swayze, he's a baby in it. This is him right at the apex of his becoming a great movie star. He had just done Dirty Dancing which was a big hit for its time and this was his try at action.

He excels, from shot one, he exudes confidence and marshal art know how as we see him flexing his karate chops as, Dalton, a professional cooler (head bouncer) at a glitzy night club called The BandStand. After a run in with a less than classy patron, Dalton is sligthly injured. After throwing the guy out and nobley declining a brawl in the parking lot with him, Dalton retreats upstairs to manually stitch his own wound. Shortly after, a stranger enters and tells Dalton he needs him to clean up his bar. Dalton accepts and the greatest bar, beer, and boob movie ever begins.

Gentlemen, I'm not straight, but if you had to sit through a boob flick, this is the one. Whoever chose these girls, musta been gay because these girls are all fabulously hot. And plenty of man candy too. patrick Swayze is in peek condition and we get too enjoy a young Marshall Teague and Sam Elliot too.

I've said too much, but the movie ends with a literal bang and all of the bad guy dispatching you've ever wanted to see.

.................................................Hot bitch, guys, don't look! (look)

.................................................Movie review done by a fellow geek, I'd imagine. I bet he watches this movie with one............................................. one hand free only like I do!

.................................................Marshall Teague is in the denim. Mmmmmm, I want him to hit me with his stick!

Generation Kill - a movie about the 'desensitized youth', the 'MTV culture' and etc. set in Iraq. More 'something's wrong with the kids' whining when it's all their fault anyway.

Great movie nonetheless. None of the tired overdepiction of gore and drama in war movies. And to prove their point, the Apache taking out that technical was wicked cool!

Tropic Thunder is the best comedy I have seen in a long time, probably at least 2 years. Don't let the ridiculous outcry of supporters of mentally challenged people deter you from going. These protesters haven't seen the film and don't get the context in which the word "retard" is being used. It's a crazy thing called satire and sometimes people just don't get the joke. It's funny how people are outraged by the use of that word while nobody seems to be alarmed by it being spoken by an actor who is essentially playing his role in blackface.

One slight thing that bother me the whole time was that those bad guys in the movie were actually talking in CHINESE a lot of times, which makes me a bit uncomfortable.

The Haunting - 1963 black and white

...never failed to scare the crap out of me. Excellent sound track.

Unlike the 1999 re-make, which was really really bad.

LOL, I know, right?

Hollywood movie makers seldom care what Asian language they use for extras as long as they're Asian. Bleh. I've come across movies where Tagalog is passed off as Chinese/Korean/whatever. They don't care, because their target audience are English speakers, and they know we won't complain if someone misrepresented our languages.

Just watched the Bourne Series. Very good, lots of action and Matt Damon is awesome.

Also watched Superbad, very funny. Seth Rogan is so hot.

I watched Live Free or Die Hard with Bruce Willis. I know it's a bit old but I sometimes have trouble keeping up with sequels and what not.

As usual, Bruce was reliably good and the intense action was great.
