I watch Fox "News" on rare occasions - but I think I'll tune in tonight to catch the epic spinning that will likely be occurring.

It should make for fun viewing.

Wow. This is fantastic news. Romney will probably receive a favorable bounce in the polls depending on his VP pick.

I can't wait to see what the spin doctors are going to do to improve his 'man of the people' image, now that his 'highly successful, rich businessman' shtick has fallen flat.

    That's true.
There's a decent chance Romney will get a bounce from the vp pick or - more likely - from the Repub convention.

But it's tough luck for Romney that the Democratic convention comes after the Repub convention - and President Obama will get a bounce from his convention too - which will likely negate any bounce Romney gets.

It's FOX News, the TV outlet, that's mostly garbage.

But FOX News online, is a bit different.

The FOX on TV DOES have a few good guys...Shep Smith, Judge Napolitano, and Neil Cavuto.

The polls keep getting better for Obama.

    MItt's two fatal flaws:
    1. He has no new ideas on the economy -- why would we turn it over to George W. Bush part II? Like the first one wasn't disastrous enough?
    2. He simply cannot connect with people. He is elitist, arrogant and almost robotically wooden and odd. This is why his handlers are keeping him away from the press -- every time he opens his mouth he alienates people. That London Olympics screw-up was a perfect example. Why would he badmouth our closest ally on their biggest accomplishment in decades?
It's been suggested he actually has some kind of personality disorder like a minor case of Autism, making him emotionally tone-deaf and unable to relate to people. It's no secret that no one likes him -- even in the Republican party, no one sticks up for him when the Dems attack him.

On top of all that is the growing realization that his business "accomplishments" all amount to corporate raiding and tax evasion.

The one thing that was his biggest accomplishment -- his medical insurance plan in Massachusetts, which was very successful and continues to be now -- he can't talk about because the Republicans have decided they hate expanded medical coverage since Obama is for it. At least that's what they say until they get sick. icon_rolleyes.gif

The GOP has really blown it this time.

An unfortunate side effect of these polls for Romney is the fact that the convention is coming right up - and we're likely to hear the MSM talking heads describe Romney as "down in the polls" more than a few times.

It will be bad PR for an already defeated and dispirited campaign.

    this^^ x10

also i wouldn't put it past fox to report a skewed poll just to try and energize the conservative base .
the best way to get old and stupid people to vote is to scare them into thinking the black man is going to win again.
this election is all about defeating Obama for the right, it has nothing to do with electing Romney.
Romney bought the nomination, nobody on the right likes him.

The conservative base is pissed off at him for not taking sides in the fast food chicken war, and the fact that his surrogate was lauding (ob)Romneycare in a response to an Obama attack ad.

Romney is a rare hothouse orchid, he has neither the knowlege nor the genetics to allow him to exist in the real world, let alone rule it. religiously sheltered, and isolated with wealth his entire life.
he was king of the conservatory in his glass box at bain capital, but he's withered and died a thousand times in de moines and cleveland trying to look human. nobody's buying it.

What a great - beautifully expressed - and on point post.

I agree, Romney is going to get crushed uless he changes his strategy. Time to stop playing nice and go negative like the democrats do. Bring up Obamas racist church, bring up his drug past, bring up his college records, bring up his chicago polotics, bring up his not being born in this country, bring up his horrible economy, bring up his horrible unemployment records, bring up his not passing a budget in over 2 years, bring up his obamacare, time to bring up the democrat super pac spending, time to bring up his never ending golf vacation, time to bring up his hatred for the military, bring up his hate for business. Bring up America's down grade in its credit rating, bring up the "you didnt build it" slogan, bring up the "its working" slogan of Obama, bring up the blame everyone else game Obama likes to use instead of taking ownership of the problems.

America will not survive another 4 years of Obama
