For all you guys waiting to tell your Parents
or waiting to start a new workout
or you guys who are tired of being over weight

    Don't wait too long
Because you never know what's going to be around the corner
Yesterday I got two sets of News that was kind of shocking
The first was a good friend of mine from College
He was str8 and we ran around together with a bunch of friends.. typical College fratboy stuff
I heard he had a massive heart attack and died recently

And then later on that day
an Ex of mine called to say that he had to fly out to CA
because his 31 year old niece just collapsed on the street and is in a coma and not expected to live from an undiagnosed aneurysm
This really has me thrown for a loop
because I saw this girl grow up

So do what it is that makes YOU happy
because we are all here for not that long a timeicon_neutral.gif

    Sorry to hear about that.

Guess this means that I shouldn't put off my leg workout then. The house-cleaning will remain put off though.

Wise words GQ. Last year during a 10 month period, I had 12 deaths (friends and family). Your message is exactly what I learned through this time. Think ahead, plan for the future, but don't neglect the now.

    Wow GQ,
I am sorry for your loss. Your advice is right on. We none know what will happen in life. We have to make the best of it in every way, every day. Thanks for the reminder. It is so easy to put off things we need to do or say for another day. My sister died 2 years ago. I thought she would be around for a lot longer. I never got to tell her how much I loved her or appreciated her. We never said things like that to each other. I thought about it a few times but decided I would wait for a better time.

It's so true. I remember once I was so disgusted with myself for all my procrastinating that I went out and bought this book that was suppose to be really helpful called "GET OFF YOUR BUTS"...problem is, I never got around to reading it icon_rolleyes.gif

Yea. My condolences to you. I can understand your grief of losing someone. I have lost a few very close relatives and friends in recent years.

But your message has a point. All one needs is the motivation to do it.

GQ, sorry to hear of that man. I know how you feel, and for me, all the bad news tends to hit within 2-3 days of each other, just defeating me completely.

In fact the other night i was in a (minor) car accident. I was fine, but my buddy Andres (lkaros on here) was driving and his car was sideswiped. Unfortunately the car sitting next to us was pulverized, and the lady in it was rushed to the hospital, but expected to make a full recovery. Even though everyone was fine, it still makes me realize, everything you have can be taken away in an instant.

So, I will be taking your advice man. Life is Now. Not tomorrow, not even in 30 minutes. Now is the time to live.

I agree, dont put it coming out of the closet, telling someone you love them, or whatever...we only have the here and now and no promises for tomorrow.

    Joey,

Thanks for sharing this valuable advice - and sorry for your losses here. Every single day is a gift. I'm lucky to be alive (after being shot through the chest with a 22 years back as a teen) so I pack good stuff into each day.

You really don't realize it until you are about forty.

Suddenly you can remember when your parents were the age that you are now. Worse yet, they are the age your grandparents were, back when you were a child.

Life is incredibly short... and no one knows how much time each of us are going to get.

    So...

    Take that amazing vacation

Go after that super hot guy you'd like to share with your partner

Wear that outfit that is just over-the-top

Push yourself to the limit at the gym

Get that tattoo you've been thinking about for 5 years

    Explore that deep sexual fantasy

    Go after that dream job

Make a specific plan for moving to where you'd like to live within five years

And the list goes on and on and on...

Make everyday count... live like you are dying, because you are...

Tyler, let it go man. It's bad enough that I've been driving the automobile equivalent of Two-face.
Now I gotta find a new side mirror, as well as rethinking the priorities in my life icon_razz.gif
