JUST got back from my book signing in Manassas, VA where Mitt and Paul came to speak feet away. Have tons of stories and pictures I will load after I go eat.

One of my best friends during the day was this VERY attractive Secret Service guy who stood four feet from me for HOURS. He was assigned to the street end where the bookstore was. Oh, I did my signing on a table outside. Anyway, I am so hungry!

    Check back later....icon_wink.gif

I hope they did not charm you to the dark side. Sounds like you had fun. And there had better be pics of the Secret Service agent.

First picture...ME. This is the bookstore where I did my book signing. I sat there from 9:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. This man worked down the street and bought me a sandwich for lunch. How nice was that!

The man of my dreams, my own personal Secret Service guy. Once the area was taped off, I moved the table to face the crowd. He and I talked for hours and hours before the caravan arrived. I miss him already. icon_sad.gificon_biggrin.gif

Crowds wrapped around the entire town up and down streets.

Snipers on the roof. My favorite picture. I call it "the price of freedom" with the flag and all.

More security. Dogs came into the store and I was wanded. My response to the SS guys: "I'll put my hands up and you can do whatever you need to do with me."

The bus passing in front of me. I'm standing on my chair to take this.

Another shot of Romney and Paul Ryan. See their faces in the window?

The sign at the bookstore where lots of people had their photo-ops. Here is mine. I call it "Hear No Evil." GO OBAMA!

Falling is love with a secret service guy is like falling is love with a light bulb.

Therea are no goodbyes when it burns out. You just replace it with another one. icon_wink.gif

    Another story:

A guy came up to me with a nice camera. He was looking frustrated. I asked if he was with the media and he said,"No, I'm with the Tea Party, but everything is so unorganized!"

Too bad, he was actually kinda hot.

Aww. Just write a well crafted 'crazed' letter to the Romney campaign about how he and Ryan ruined your book signing. I guarantee that will get you up close and personal with some Secret Service agents again, very soon.

To the Conservaposse: That was a JOKE

I find it strange how Americans seem to revere politicians to the status of demi-gods, identity idols, and superior moral/intellectual authority.

He definitely lit me up. Here are our first exchange of words while about 20 SS guys did a comb through the streets:

Me: I don't have to move my table do I?

HOT SS guy: (shouting from 15 feet away) "Who are you?"

Me: I'm an author doing a book signing.

HOT SS guy: I don't know, I'll have to ask my leutenant.

Me: 'Cause if I do, Team Romney will be hearing from me!

    HOT SS guy: (smile)

These guys work for both parties of course, but I'm almost certain he was a pro-Obama guy.
