The Spice Girls were the highlight of the show. People that weren't 90s kids will never understand their impact.

I might be a little biased but I didn't hear the crowd scream as much as when they heard the intro to wannabe. It seems everyone was bored until they came out.

The beginning of the Queen song: "Is this the real life..." was great.

    Annie Lennox was cool.

The guitar solo by the Queen guitarist was hot. We Will Rock You was cool.

I like the men choirs singing now [at the lowering of the Olympics flag].

Disappointed NBC ended coverage without showing The Who finale.

Watching it right now and have to tell you Annie Lennox made me jump off the sofa when I heard her voice.

It's worth watching just to see her, hope I haven't missed the spice girls yet.

Did anyone else notice NBC's pre-closing coverage of the past 17 days included extensive coverage of the women who performed but, with the exception a small segment on Bolt and a lot of Michael Phelps, included almost no male athletes and almost nothing related to field and track (except Bolt)? So many athletes that didn't even really get recognition in my opinion.

Us Brits put on an amazing olympics, we are so pleased everyone enjoyed it and it was the most successful to date.

Its certainly reminded the world how we still know how to put on a show.

Storys coming back to us that all nations enjoyed it, most secure yet, most efficient, green, no problems. so did really well.

I enjoyed a lot of it --- even The Spice Girls looked surprisingly good -- the show was colorful and fun. The John Lennon tribute with "IMAGINE" was incredible. The whole show did seem to go on, and on, and ON...but a vast improvement over the opening ceremonies. Looking forward to see what Rio does with the games in 2016.

So Sochi is in a part of Russia that does not get snow. Sigh...that seems really wasteful to build all of that stuff for winter games in an area that does not naturally get snow. What do they plan to do with all of that stuff after the games? The news mentioned that they estimate that they will be spending $50 billion for this.

All I know is that I have one new atheletic hero who is habitating the realm of Michael Jordan right now, a white American boy named Michael Phelps! This man has set a record that has never been set in Olympic history! Do you people understand how extraordinary that is? I don't care what color he is, this Michael Phelps guy is a warrior, a champion of the first order! I want to collect everything I can regarding this guy's career in the Olympics. Oh my God, a white American boy has my dick hard for his atheletic awesomeness! Damn! I'm sorry, I'm too emotional right now. I just can't contain my respect for this guy right now. He is awesome! Michael Phelps. Nice.
