I just read a long post of someone in need, then realized it was over a year old. People keep bringing back old posts, which is OK if that's your thing.

Maybe there could be a little icon next to new posts, like a subtle "NEW" star, for posts started within the past week or two. Even a little unobtrusive dot would do. That way people know beforehand and don't get caught up in dialogue that happened in 2008! ;-)

Perhaps a way to sort by date started, or only show new (within a week posts) link.

    yeah I agree.
It bothers me when some 3-4 years old threads keep being dug. icon_rolleyes.gif

yourname2000 saidA thread that's not been posted in for over 6 months should be locked up.....let it exist in the archive, for reference, but I personally think a new thread should be started if someone wants to continue the convo. The archived article could be linked to, if it was really that relevant, imo.

Yes, +1. Like almost any other forum on the planet....

I agree. It's such a pain in the ass to look at the date all the way over there in the upper right-hand corner.

    I don't agree completely..
There are some that really should die..And some that actually provide a sense of evolution regarding us RJers..

I'd rather just leave it the way it is and embarrass those giving specific advice to an OP that hasn't signed in for more than two years.
