" “That’s the favorite day for my kids, because Wristband Day, you can buy a wristband and ride all the rides with just one wristband for the whole day.” The Iowans stood like corn stalks on a still morning."

Things went downhill pretty quickly from there, I gather.

“Are you going to cut Medicare?” “Stop the war on the poor!” “Hands off Social Security!”

Doesnt sound good for the R/R team if you get panned in Iowa.

That article is too funny. "Do you have 'Wristband Day' here?" Sounds more like it was "Necktie Party Day" at the Fair, and Ryan was the lucky winner. icon_biggrin.gif

The rich arrogant elitist Romney and Ryan have the type of personality profile and policy advocacy that are the opposites of what voters are looking for in this election.

The foolish Repubs chose very unwisely when they picked Romney.
And Romney chose very foolishly when he picked Ryan.

We're going to see more reactions like this to R&R on the stump.
Not only are voters not going to warm up to Romney and Ryan - when voters hear more and more about what Romney and Ryan really want to do - voters are going to get very angry at them.

And yet another huge crowd for Ryan in Colorado. Peoepl can't wit to see this guy. Its like Obama has to run against 2 guys for president. Obama will need help from his left wing media. Too bad the winds of change are blowing right now. The dems needed this election to have happened a couple weeks ago, now they dont know how to slow the Romney/Ryan freight train down.

Time to smell the dark roast truth serum my man

    Ryan is TOXIC
and republicans are saying off the cuff.... OF COURSE
that this probably cost them the Senate which they might have had a chance at and making vulnerable House seats losses

BTW? What's Romney's take on his running mates signature legislation?
Cause he's been kinda cagey on that

Yes he is...to the Democrats! icon_lol.gif Should be interesting to see how Romney shapes "The Romney Plan", integrating the best of "The Ryan Plan" and then selling it to the American people starting with at the GOP convention, and then the debates that follow. Romney is a shrewd and smart man...he knew that choosing Ryan would bring this race right back to what it should be about --- The Economy --- and who the leader is to turn this thing around.

Sorry, I should have re-phrased that.... Thompson will crush Tammy(farther left than Obama, lunatic, voted for tax increases 138 times, hates the tea party rug munching lesbo)Baldwin. I didnt think lesbo was a slur, just short for lesbian. Unlike the racist comments made bt grandpa Joe Biden of Romney putting people back in chains. There is no slave master under tone to that is there? Can you imagine if Romney would have said the same thing? Its called a double standard. Republicans have to watch every word they say while democrats can say whatever they want with no remorse or fear of retribution.

Well this is refreshing, to see you declare yourself a fan of Ryan. Just like you did the equally homophobic Gov. Jan Brewer in your home State of Arizona, whom you told us you "love".

And just like with her, you take on all the baggage that Ryan carries. Especially the homophobic baggage, that you claim is not important, or irrelevant, nor anything of interest to you.

The sad thing for you is that not only will you lose the moral high ground on this site, for being a staunch supporter of anti-gay politicians, but even the one redeeming virtue you claim for them, the US economy, is an illusion.

For if you buy into Ryan's vision for the economy, then you truly have no credibility here. Just blind ideology that you parrot for others. And some guys here did have better expectations for you. But a leopard cannot change its spots, nor a vulture its feathers.

You're an idiot. Biden's comment was not racial in the slightest. He was talking about financial reform.

Because I have a different opinion this means, in your eyes, I have "no credibility here"? Really?!?! Coming from someone who has ZERO credibility in my book, I could give a rat's ass what you think. Thankfully, you don't speak for the whole site. I express an opinion here -- nothing more, nothing less -- and whether that gains me ANY credibility here on RJ among you and the rest of the liberal hen crowd is something I assure you I won't be losing any sleep over. The more I learn about V.P. nominee Paul Ryan, the more I like. In fact, I think he may have actually been a brilliant choice. Not that I put much weight in the polls -- I don't -- but many of the polls tightening somewhat in the days after the V.P. choice I find an interesting sign nonetheless. As for "moral high ground" on this site, again, it isn't up to you or anyone else around here to determine what that is. Both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan appear, in my eyes anyway, to be fine, successful, bright, patriotic God-fearing American men who by all accounts are also good fathers, good husbands, and they give back to the community for the greater good. If you have a problem with that -- sorry -- I don't. You want to call them "anti-gay" -- fine -- that is YOUR thing and have had it. I don't happen to see the world through the same rainbow-colored glasses that you do (Thank GOD!!!), and that's just something you'll have to accept -- or don't accept it -- I really could care less.

No, actually, it makes total sense. That it is lost on YOU is no big surprise. I speak out so that people like Art_Deco, and yourself, RickRick, TrojanAthlete, and so many others I can't even count understand loud and clear that they are not the ones deciding who has credibility around here, or who has the "moral ground". There are no opinions around here that carry any more weight than any others.

Yet the democrats are trying to put out the fire they started with grandpa Joe and his racial overtone comment. It was stupid of him to say it and stupid of you to defend it. But then again you are an idiot.

    LOL.
    Dream on.

Huge crowds gather to see a bad car wreck or a house burning down.

That Romney / Ryan "freight train" is on the wrong track.
Their goal of ending Medicare and Social Security will dog them all the way to their landslide defeat, on election day.

Because I have a different opinion this means, in your eyes, I have "no credibility here"? Really?!?!

You make a false argument, typical for Republicans. You're free to have any different opinion you want, that's not the issue you falsely try to deflect us into.

The matter is having a WRONG opinion. Because guess what, sweetums -- not every opinion is right. Merely having an opinion doesn't make it right, as you argue in this case.

An opinion must stand the test of logic and truth. And that's where you fail the credibility test. Your declaration of "I have an opinion" does not make it true, nor is it immune from questioning.

Now when you can actually present some facts and logic to your opinions, they might earn some respect. Until then, they are merely Right Wing talking points you were given. Does it therefore surprise you that you are seen as a Republican mouthpiece here?

When you have some original thoughts you can actually articulate do get back to us, OK? icon_biggrin.gif
