I can't avoid it. I'm back from holiday. It's there. I have to do it and the cleaner is on holiday. Harumph!

watch some late night Olympic action while ironing and try not to burn the clothes when you see some cutie, swimming, diving, wrestling, tumbling or whatever other Olympic sport turns you on... or just leave it until the cleaner gets back from holiday and tell everyone creased clothing is the new thing from wherever you came back from holiday

I agree! Just turn on the Olympics, that should spice up the usual ironing doldrums!

Send it out. LOL! Why ruin the relaxing state you had while on holiday take a back seat to ironing?

It's always exciting when I try to iron things. I'm really bad at it and you never know how it will turn out. Suspense, adventure, and surprise around every corner.

Are there youtube tutorials for ironing properly? I know there are ones for tying ties

It's all done, while watching some crappy music channel. Why don't music channels play music videos any more? I remember when MTV meant Music TV. God, I'm old.

You REALLY must stop complaining, it isn't becoming at all. Many people don't have cleaners to go on holiday. Perspective dear.

Oh Red young chap. The trick is too have a spare servant on hand. You should of asked as One always has a spare one on hand; don't know what One would do without them.

Oh the good old days, when they only got a half a day off a week, and that was so they could go to church; what what.

Oh what is ironing?

Oh must go, Ones tea is ready. Tallyho.

Had to look nice to save you heathens from your filthy sexual desires.

I like to iron. I like the smell of the warm fabric, and I like the crisp, smooth results.

I have never ironed in my life, and probably never will. My dress shirts are not 100% cotton!

My cleaners charges $1.10 per dress shirt. With the service being that inexpensive, it is really not worth my time to break out the ironing board anymore...

Besides... I want my dress shirt to look their very best and the cleaners will always do a better job than anyone can at home...

redheadguy. You need to get the Edwardian servants rule book, printed in Polish. Then they will find out they are entitled to only one day off a month, and half a day on Sundays, to witch they must go to church.

Well and as for the Mexicans taking Mondays off, how selfish of them, What about their poor owners do? Whom will cook for them? Put toothpaste on the toothbrush, run ones bath?

Should let em know, one day a month is sufficient. What will these people want next; benefits too.

You know it is. But I would put something like a pillow case, ot tea towel over it first, and then iron.

I'm the stand-in for the hired help.

I iron Bill's stuff every morning just before he needs it.

Nothing worse than getting creases wrong!

Well, ok, dying, I guess.

Hey RedheadGuy...

why did you bulk iron anyway...? I only iron what i need when i need it )))

And although the idea of servants, cleaning ladies, hired help sounds wonderful i would rather not have people in my private space rearranging my things.... "bitter" personal experience from my friend's cleaning lady looking after my cat while on holiday... couldn't find anything as she had rearranged it all according to her tried and tested "Ukrainian logic"... except as i don't subscribe to that journal, it took me ages to hunt my stuff down in my organised chaos!!!!!!!!

I hope you rang a bell to bring a servant in to get the answer to that question.

p.s. Red, still getting smiled at in the gym?

Why do you need pressed clothing anyway? Seems like you spend most of your time naked anyway with all the hook ups you boast about on here.

Or perhaps you prefer meeting your manhunt man of the moment perfectly coiffed and dressed to the nines?

I bulk iron because I don't like to have un-ironed clothes in my wardrobes and it makes sense to get it done in one go.

Most of my clothes need ironing - doesn't everyone's? I don't walk around in sweatpants and gym gear at work or if I'm going out.

Haven't been to the gym for two weeks cos I've been on holiday so I haven't seen the smiling guy.
