I'm Homonormative and Homocentric

Heteronormativity and heterocentrism are when you assume that everyone is hetero and that hetero relationships are the only ones that are valid.
I seem to live in the opposite world.
When I find a guy attractive it never occurs to me that he might be straight.
So homosexuality for me is the default for everyone.
Anyone else here who's the same?

    Hand in the air.

Pretty much believe any straight guy will play with the right guy and the right situation, also believe that's why they hate us so much.

I kinda live in the heteronormative framework. I generally assume most people are straight. But I don't confront people about it. If guys or girls want to be open about their sexuality and make it known, that's totally fine and that's their personal decision. But if a guy's in the closet and I suspect he might possibly be gay or bi, I'm not gonna bring it up lest I risk embarrassing him. Unless he's contemplating suicide or something like that, then I make an exception for the sake of trying to garner in him some self-reassurance and validate his personal sense of self-worth. I don't wanna see closeted people killing themselves because they're afraid of their sexuality!

I certainly don't assume that every guy is gay, but my gaydar can be off at times - When I see a "cute" or hot guy in his 20's-30's who looks "sensitive" and who doesn't exhibit a hard edge or boisterous heterosexuality, I tend to make the (usually incorrect) assumption that he is gay.

Considering the results of the Kinsey scale, I default all guys of unknown sexual orientation to bisexual until they claim otherwise.

I just assume that people have relationships when they feel it's right, or they've found a good person. I'm always shocked when I'm treated differently because my partner is a man.

all the time, its potentially fairly embarrassing.

a good percentage maybe 50-60% of the guys ive slept with on a casual basis have been "totally fuckin str8 bro" or "i just love getting my dick sucked " str8 lol

I grow up around straight people, in a straight town, in a bible belt- so pretty much I assume everyone is straight unless their on an online site that caters to gay people

I know so many gay people that I absolutely assume someone is fair game until I find out otherwise.

Nah. We are out numbered 9 to 1 in the world. I assume they are straight, unless they show some signs saying "gay."

I don't know about the world, but in my neighborhood we're about 25% of the population.
