How do you define "safe sex" or "safer sex"

what about no condoms, but not cumming in the bttm? is that safer sex or not.

What are you willing to do and what is your level of comfort regarding "safe sex" or "safer sex"

Safe sex to me would be to use condoms at all times. Make sure your gums are not cut if you swallowing or having them cum in your mouth. Safer sex would be no sex or fluid exchange. No condoms and not cumming is still high risk. There is pre cum. Just like how women use the pull out method...it doesnt work.

Safe Sex = Condoms during intercourse

Safer Sex = Condoms during fellatio and intercourse

Safer than Safer Sex = Masturbating

    Safest Sex = Celibacy

You have to balance the risk against the benefit, as with everything else in life.
I don't like using the term "safe sex," but "safer sex," since there's no way to eliminate the risk of STD transmission if you're going to have sex with someone else.

My post mainly deals with HIV.

    Safe Sex With Another Person

No anal, oral and rimming would come pretty close to safe sex. Rimming without protection is not hazardous for HIV but other infections (e.g. hepatitis, parasites).

    Safer Sex With Another Person

Oral sex without a condom if you are the one performing the blowjob is low risk, but you can get infected that way (I did). Cuts in the mouth cavity can be an entry point even if the person does not cum in your mouth. Pre-cum has just as high a concentration of HIV as cum. Anal sex with a condom that is used properly (lots of lube, right size, not expired). Using a dental dam or a condom while rimming a guy.

    Unsafe Sex

Anal sex without a condom is not a good idea, especially if you are the "bottom." If you are the top and you are wearing a condom then your risk of contracting HIV is less than the bottoms even if the ocndom breaks.

Finally the best way to learn about safer sex practices is to do your research on line. "TheBody.com" is a great website. I personally also use the AIDS Committee of Toronto website as well.
