Amazing to think we hardly begun to search the universe for planets.

It gets even better when we begin to detect lots of Earth sized ones. This the most exciting time...

It is kind of amazing to think about all of the other possibilities out there.

But then again, when thinking on that scale... it all becomes inconsequential. There's no difference in life here on Earth, knowing that those planets are out there. It's a geekily fun thing to research, but pointless.

No it's not, it'll be important when we discover faster than light travel and want to get off this rock icon_smile.gif

786 planets, yet not a single one of them has intelligent life...not even Earth.

The latest I've heard about Pluto is that it has more of a comet-like consistency (ball of ice). Maybe that's the Planet X everyone was worried about, and it got stuck in orbit instead of careening into us. icon_lol.gif
