    Hey fellas,

Hoping i can get some advice. Bit of a 'new guy' question but when does the ribcage (or bone structure in general) usually stop growing for a male? I feel my ribs are a bit small at the moment. I have started working out for about 2 months now, doing some basic strength training and hoping that some gain in muscle mass will improve the size. If it even works that way. It'd be great if can get a bit wider in that area and look more proportionate.

    Thanks!

From the last "ribcage" thread: http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/1107872

"The rib cage naturally expands as a man ages. It is made up of partly bone and partly cartilage, which has some 'give' to it. The expansion occurs because the space around the lungs is under negative pressure and the intercostal muscles slowly buy surely get tired of constantly fighting against that negative pressure. They basically stretch out, which allows the expansion of the rib cage to occur."

There is no such thing as "negative pressure." You can have an area of lower pressure in relation to an area of higher pressure, but it is physically and mathematically impossible to have negative pressure.

I figure it by the wetsuits I've bought since I started college. I have to go up by one full size in the chest every 10 years or so. Started out "medium" and now at "XXL." Only problem is I still need M/L waist, so they have to be custom made.

Not everybody grows the same way though.
