How do you turn off or block seeing a "friend's" postings without actually dropping him? I hear there is a way you can do so the person doesnt know you have blocked viewing his postings.

I have a 4th cousin who is just bat-shit conservative and posting stuff incessantly. I'm at the point of "ok, I get it. Enough already."

I also dont know how to set people into different categories so that everybody doesnt see everything you post. I have some christian pastor friends that I dont want to offense with my anti-christian vitriol. So I dont post anything.

There should be an X in the top right corner of any post when you scroll your mouse over it on the front page.

"Unsubscribe from status updates from ____"

Will that block his updates without him knowing it?

    Solution: Don't use Facebook.

They're notorious for changing your settings to default without your consent with every "upgrade."
