I'm not big on "gay clubs" or any club for that matter, but coming from a guy who lives in Las Vegas and has been to the original Krave, it's not bad at all. One of their tag-lines is "the Best 'straight-friendly' gay bar". And that is the truth. I know plenty of people who come to Las Vegas (even locals) in a mixed crowd who go to Krave. It's sort of a novelty thing for straight college guys to go, so they can say they've been to a gay bar, but not feel so conflicted about it. It IS a meat market, but most people are pretty respectful. Lots of straight girls hangin out and dancing with their Bois, curious college guys, creepy mid-aged guys lookin for some young tail....all types here. But it is fun, to an extent.

It'll definitely be good for our economy in the Downtown area, hence the prodding by Mayor Carolyn Goodman.

    Bravo, Las Vegas.

    Another local chiming in...

One thing Krave benefited from was being directly on the Strip... will too many people want to go downtown? I'm not so sure... but having a gay club near the Strip brought in sooo many more people I feel like the place would have than if it were say... in the Fruit Loop.

You have to be 21 to get into a club, right? icon_confused.gif

I've always wanted to go but I've just turned 20.

    WTF icon_question.gif

I didn't realize that I someone's automatically creepy when they reach middle age.

At 37, I guess you won't be able to go to the club very long without being labeled "creepy".

    Change your mindset, fucker.

    Creep first, mid-aged second.
BTW, I'm 34. But of course you'd know that after you looked at my profile.
Why would you take such offense? Did I strike a chord?
    Lighten up, fucker.

Went to the small one years ago. Was bored there on a New Year's Eve. More fun seeing all the straight young drunks guys on the street.

From what I have been told by friends that have moved there in the last few years, it is growing. It is a lot cheaper to live there than California and the recession hit people very hard, some chose to move to Vegas. I heard that you can get an apartment there for $400-600/mo. And buying a home can be inexpensive as well. And buying apartments there is the best investment that I have found right now.

I agree. Meet somebody at the club, and go into the LGBT theater to hook up with them. After it is over, head back to the dance floor to hook up with somebody else.

    Sounds like a slut's dream. icon_lol.gif

I went to Krave on the strip. It was okay until the deejay repeated his set. And then it was time to go.

But if a bunch of gays gather in one place, doesn't it then become "the gay scene"?

18 year olds can get into some clubs here, but they can't drink.

I like Krave in Vegas, I think it's close to the Aladdin casino (it's closed now?), been there once back in 2005. You know, I really love Las Vegas, I would move there in a heart beat if I find a perfect awesome job offer. icon_cool.gif The gay guys seem nice and cool, too.
