Just pulled into the parking lot and this song was playing on the radio. 1983. Haven't heard this song in forever! Love it. Good times. Remember this one?

Wow, and you're 21! Do they play this song in Atlanta a lot? I was in college when this came out.

I actually grew up listening to a mash of songs from the 80's and and 90's. The fact that I did band in high school only intensified my love for some of these songs xD But they actually don't play it in Atlanta alot, but you'll ocassionally hear it on the radio and me and my best friend always have a blast singing along xD

I'm a HUGE 70s fan, but the 80s had some good songs too. It was like every song was so much different from the next. You don't get that nowadays. Everything is overproduced and they all sound so similar.

Every once in a while, I hear a song from the mid/late 80s and it brings back all these high school memories. Now I'm feeling all nostalgic!

The 80's were the favorite time in my life. I have bought so many New Romantic/New Wave/Punk/Emo/Synth Pop songs from iTunes, I made a huge playlist I can listen to all day long.

    Ah, the memories.

The pop culture of the 80s - music, movies, tv, etc. - was still largely about fun/entertainment. Even punk in the early 80s was rebellious, loud...and fun.

The fun remained at least until the end of the decade when rap/hiphop was starting to darken and bands like Nine Inch Nails were starting to appear. Then grunge swooped in and changed music during the 90-95 recession.

The Promise - When in Rome

Just Like Heaven - The Cure. "I'll promise you, I promise that I'll run away with you."

    ...Sorry. I'm following a theme.

When I was in the 80's I would have never thought of it as one the favorite times in life, but I am still in contact with many friends from that time and so many of my fondest memories are from that time.

I'm like Robin Tunney in that awesome movie Cherish -- I have The Thompson Twins, The Cars, The Motels, The Go-Go's, and Blondie on permanent rotation in my mind.
