I've always wondered how many chinese walk around with English shit tatted on themselves.

PS there are loads of Aussies wandering around with Indonesian wording tatted on them from a drunken night in Bali, hilarious

"Golden Pig" is kinda normal in some Asian countries. It's a nice icon.
Because calling someone "fat" in here is not an insult

barbed wired arm bands...

tribal tatts...

Maori motifs...

latin maxims...

always lots of passing fads with tattoos... and as much as often really love a tattied guy... I'm afraid if I did one myself I'd end up hating it 5-10 years down the line as quite a few of my friends do... so I've avoided them. Not that that's necessarily a good reason to avoid them. Just mine. In the long run, it's just the body and one more form of personal expression, as in all forms of personal expression, the more creative or unique it is, the better in my books. But not everybody is creative or unique... let's face it. So you're always going to have lots of "run of the mill" tattoos out there. Not the end of the world really...

You might invoke some demon god

I wonder what those people thought the tattoos actually were meant to say. It's like the Pretty Woman scene where Julia Roberts says her tattoo means 'strength of heart' when it actually means 'physical strength'.

Around here it wouldn't be unusual (a 'water-sport' loving 'pig').

"Cheap whore", "bitter idiot", and "foreigner" aren't so unusual around here either

you forgot bible verses...i bet most ppl don't even know what the exact quote is if you asked...just like a random name (matthew) and some random numbers (19:22) haha.

oh and then there's the names written in calligraphy, if you're a cholo or guido

Haha some of those letters are upside down! I remember this club in Paris where they stamp your arm when you get out to smoke in order to be able to get in again. The stamp was 牛 (cow)

But hey, here in Japan when they try to use French it's even worst. There is this chocolate bar called "petite bite" (little cock), those shops called "petit pet" (little fart) or "camelotte" (crap), etc. In general, each time they try to use french, there is so many mistakes in the spelling or it makes absolutely no sense

I find it ironic that their post is mocking people for their sheer stupidity with these tattoos when in actuality, some of "this is what they mean" captions are completely off. Example:

http://i.huffpost.com/gadgets/slideshows/245012/slide_245012_1384833_free.jpg?1345307065000

Caption: I Am Slow (Right)/ Pregnant (Bottom)

Sorry Huffington, but 我慢 actually means perseverance and 芽出度い means happy/naive (although I've never seen it used, really).

*gives them a round of applause for their failure*
