Hi guys, I'm thinking of taking a week or so to travel somewhere on the East Coast (was thinking florida but don't really know). Need to stay close to my time zone in Toronto and need a good internet connection for work. Other than that, looking for somewhere relatively cheap to travel to. Preferably where I could do some surfing. Any suggestions??

    *crickets*

I was thinking of either Fort Lauderdale of Miami would be in September or October and I want some beach time.

I would choose Savannah, GA or Myrtle Beach. If you want a gay paradise, Key West, Tampa Bay, or South Florida. Those are your best bets of beaches, although it is hurricane season, and I'm not sure how cold the water is that time of year.

Hm, I hadn't considered hurricane season at all. This is a valid point. I don't really want to get hurricaned on.

Canada's East Coast is nice but I've been there and was thinking of somewhere with warm beaches. I guess I could think of a different type of trip.

The Carolinas have Myrle Beach and the Outer Bank. Google them and see if they are interesting. Rehobeth Beach is gay and in Delaware.

haha i live in Topsail Beach, NC. and I really like visiting Mrytle Beach SC and Wrightsville Beach. Also there's Boone (the mountains) and Asheville (urban areas in Mountain).

The carolinas are prob still warm anough in sept and oct to get some beach time.

For certain warmth and good beach weather, florida is prob your best bet.

October is not likely a hurricane will hit. It's possible, but not very likely.

The Biltmore mansion in Asheville is awesome. But he can't go surfing there.

Surfing isn't mandatory, was just a thought. Just looking for something outdoors and relaxing!

Ft Laud and Miami are full of awesomeness.

If you want something cost effective, get a hotel in Ft Laud and rent a car to drive to Miami...only 30-60 minutes, depending on traffic.

We were in the island until Monday... yes we definitely missed each other. The BluQ is fun and relaxing and the marine life you can observe is amazing. Key West is such a quirkly little island. I love it down there. It was my first visit but definitely not my last... I'll look you up when I return!
