Howard Stern ripped into Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin Tuesday, after the Akin stated his belief that rape victims don't get pregnant in cases of "legitimate rape".

Akin made the statements during a Sunday morning interview, claiming that he's "heard" that when a woman is a victim of a "legitimate rape," she secretes a hormone which prevents her from getting impregnated by her rapist.

“When I hear a f**king flaming asshole like that," said Stern. "I tend to blame every Republican. You just go: ‘I can’t vote for these guys with their stupid abortion agenda’. It reminds everybody how dumb that is!”

Many big name Republican leaders and pundits have called for Akin to drop out of his Senate race against incumbent Claire McCaskill. Tuesday, Howard Stern featured a clip of Akin desperately attempting to take back the statements during a Monday night interview with Sean Hannity, who told Akin the whole party was suffering due to his remarks.

“When Sean Hannity, who is a conservative’s conservative, turns on you. You know it’s time to get the f**k out of the race,” said Stern.

Akin was also scheduled to appear on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" following the interview, but he canceled at the last minute, leaving Morgan with an empty chair. Morgan called Akin a "gutless little twerp" for weaseling out of the interview.

Todd Akin is a disgusting piece of shit and he shares the same archaic warped views of all Republicans so fuck him! I can't believe he is so delusional that he won't step down, even though numerous leaders in the Republicunt party - INCLUDING Mitt Romney have advised him to do so.

Does a total stranger having an abortion have an effect on your life? No, it doesn't. Mind your own business, Republicans and keep your laws off women's bodies.

Not sorry to say, but all Republicans suck!

Especially the ones who claim they're just 'fiscal conservatives' and they don't follow Republican ideology.

Fiscal conservative = I hate poor people, which is the whole Republican platform so...

I legit lol when someone says, "I'm a Libertarian." That's even worse, and they honestly think that it makes them sound smart.

But keep it up Republicans, no one likes you but your rent boys and meth addicted whores. I'm growing more and more confident that Obama is going to win, which the latest polls show he has a considerable lead ahead of Mittens.

    AGREED.

But I'm glad that Akin is staying in the race. His views are IDENTICAL to Paul Ryan's.

Romney claimed the same position in an interview with Mike Huckabee. Of course NOW he's wiping away that bit of his Policy Etch-a-Sketch.

AKIN EXPRESSED THE REPUBLICAN POSITION----------the position just written into their party platform.

Republicans DO NOT get to walk away from Todd Akin.
