    Hi guys-

I'm looking for your advice. Been lifting weights for about 5 years. Ready to start body-building.

It's confusing out there. What has worked for you?

My knowledge of supplements is limited to Creatine, Glutomine, Amino Acids and lotsa, lotsa protein.

What supplements have you had god results with for gaining muscle mass?

I'm great at following menus and workout routines to the letter; not so much at actually counting calories myself. Is there a resource to find meal plans to follow?

Here's a little background on me:

    Age 33
    Height 5'10
    Weight 175
    Body type: Fit/Healthy

    Thanks for advice!

When Training for strenght your reps should be
with the last rep at 110%of max to gain more strength

When training for mass (bodybuilding) your reps should be
as you need longer tension on the muscle to stretch it

I think you have your suplements right.

There are plenty of workout plans and diets on this site that you should utilize.

One VERY important difference between weightlifting and bodybuilding. Weightlifting is solely about how much you can left. Bodybuilding is using the weight to sculpt your body.

Although I'm a pretty heavy lifter, it is not about how much you can lift but rather what the weight does to change the shape of your body. Focus on that.

I prefer a slightly higher rep scheme... using 4 sets of up to 12 reps. If you can't do 8 reps, it is too heavy. If you can easily do all 12, it is too easy.
