I gave up my cable, got a 29 dollar antenna from Costco, a roku box and so far so good!

    Anyone else cut the cord?

I did years ago. Seems like some cable networks are streaming some of their popular shows for free anyways. So it it was pointless to pay for it.

I never had cable TV...except with Xfinity cause it came as a package deal with the 100 Mbps internet. Never hooked it up, though.

Currently don't have cable...frankly between school work, netflix suffices to keep me entertained. Did you know legend of Seeker is now on netflix...there is nothing more hotter than watching Craig Horner stripped down shirtless, and tortured...or simply chopping wood...oh yeah Craig chop that wood..

I spend 150.00 a month on cable (bundled with internet and a land line I haven't used in 7 years). I watch about 6 of the 300 or so channels I have.

I lived in the country for a year without cable, then went off the grid completely for another year. You don't miss it. But one day, you come back from under the rock and can't stop watching Big Brother.

Just for BASIC Cable Tv.....no internet.....no land line....$74 a month....

It's a shame you cannot pick and choose what channels you want to watch.

Since Comcast wishes not to be receptive to customer demand.....well....
we'll just have to say bye byes....

Oh man, that one episode where he was tied up at the wrists and tortured. *sigh* That was amazing! This guy has an incredible body.

Yep. Once I got out on my own, I never hooked it up. I watch movies from time to time but mostly I play guitar. And I've gotten a hell of a lot better at it as a result. So good things can only come from it if you use your time wisely.

I live quite rural, in the basement of the Cascades (Columbia River Gorge), and there is almost zero radio reception let alone TV. I have Dish Network and HBO so $71 a month. I I usually watch Baseball (sports in general), HBO and PBS for the most part. The ex-BF/housemate catches Adult swim 24/7. Kinda drives me nuts but I watched MASH and Odd Couple like that when I was in college so I cut him slack.
I have the best 250(?) channels (which is pure BS) and can often find nothing the F to watch so I go to bed and read like I should.
I work w/at least 8 people who dont do TV at all and the same number that have a screen for watching DVD/Blue Ray movies and Net Flix streaming. Those folks get all their chores done too. Once this big JVC CRT dies I may be done. Its painful to be a Mariners fans anyways and paying to watch them lose is salt in the wounds.

I'd love to dump cable, but it keeps the roommate happy. I never watch TV.

I don't have cable either. I have an antenna if I want to watch tv. Its cheaper on my bills.
