    No matter how immoral.
    No matter how UN-American.

Your disingenuousness truly knows no bounds. Romney said absolutely nothing in the video that condones this. It is, however, life in China. As he said, the young women were clamoring to get in, not out.

    LOL
CJ chimes in with a bogus knee jerk defense of Romney - as usual.

FYI, CJ - Bain bought the company that Romney describes in the video.
The fact that Romney and his fellow Bain executives decided to buy this company - even though the company employed slave labor - proves that Romney and his fellow Bain executives condoned the immoral workplace environment of the company.

Not only did they condone it - they profited from it.
This is proof of the despicably immoral culture at Bain.

Plus - this vid shows how selfish greed-driven corporate creeps like Romney have been sending US jobs overseas to China and other countries.

Romney represents everything that's gone wrong with corporate America.

WELL JEEEEEZ RICK !!! According to CJ and other republican partisans, its JUST BUSINESS, ALL IS GOOD AS LONG AS ITS DONE IN THE NAME OF BUSINESS PROFITS !!! that's the way it is out there in the business world, business should be allowed to flourish without government regulation shackles. To republicans unfettered business is a beautiful thing, no matter what is done in the name of business profits.

ITS A SICK TESTIMENT TO ROMNEY'S LACK OF MORAL CHARACTER, and a sign that he has no business in the White House.

He said that because he had been told that by the chinese about that factory. What do you that the Chinese were going to say? "Oh, yes, we have to have armed guards and a big fence to keep the girls from running away."

Mittens also said what long hours the girls worked for a pittance. If Mittens et al. bought the factory and then kept paying pittances, he should be held accountable for that.

The Bain partner turned to me and said " You know 95% of life is settled if you are born in America".
"This is uh, this is an amazing land and what we have is unique and fortunately it is so special we are sharing it with the world.

Well that last line sure sounds typically American political bullshit... insinuating that the rest of the world is also living in less than ideal conditions... pfffffft

    +1

I'd pay a pretty penny to see Mitt get horsewhipped.
But, seeing Mitt get his ass whipped by President Obama in November would be even better.

On a personal level, I cannot even imagine enjoying ill gotten gains like Romney and other such Company Owners/Investors do. Anyone with any decency at all would feel uncomfortable with the thoughts of their wealth coming at thousands of peoples expense. As an owner or investor I'd have to insist that worker environments / wages be improved or my money would go elswhere.

DID ROMNEY DO ANYTHING LIKE SHOWING CONCERN FOR THE RIGHTS OF THE WORKERS PROVIDING HIM WITH WEALTH ?

People of conscience need to speak out against this kind of crap instead of excusing it as 'just business', these are basically American Jobs being sent overseas to abuse workers (our fellow human beings) so a very few here in the US can become very very rich. ITS SICK !!!

Then these same wealthy and their lap dog politicians excoriate the poor and unemployed for not going out to "GET A JOB", jobs that don't exist because the rich took them overseas. Again its the typical Republican Far Righters causing a problem then blaming their victims, sadly they role it up with some religious covering wedge issue and the sheeple buy it hook line and sinker against their own interests. ITS A SICK JOKE PULLED OVER ON AMERICAN WORKERS

CJ the willfully blind partisan against his own interests JUST DOESN'T GET CORPORATE "PERSONAL" RESPONSIBILITY. Corporations are people his ilk likes to claim, until the responsibility comes into play, then those same Corporations and their owners fall back to being just 'all is fair' because its done by inanimate business for profits.

CJ, DOESN'T WANT TO GET IT !!!

i'm not sure this comes as a suprise to anybody, and this isn't really "unamerican" in fact it's pretty much classic american style greed that has existed since before the founding fathers started this enterprise.

the railroad & oil barons, the industrialists that had to be broken up at the turn of the last century due to anti trust issues were no different in their drive to capitalize and exploit the country and people to gain riches for themselves.

the only recent development is that the robber barons don't make much effort to conceal their greed, because they've determined that there's not much push back from the huddling masses.

even poor southern white folks will vote for romney, even though he's the guy who's spent his entire life making sure they stay poor.

    Good points !!!

The hell of it is, the Romney Repubs are hell bent on taking us back to the Robber Baron days riding and doing so on the coat tails of the ignorant religious fundi's acceptance of social wedge issues rolled up in pretty propaganda. The blind sheeple are dong so at their own expense and are too steeped in their religious ignorance to recognize it.

No, his responsibility was to make Bain Capital profitable by making sound investments, NOT changing working conditions and raising wages in China. You all act like he personally owned and managed the factory. icon_rolleyes.gif

Ok, here, folks, we have the absolute crux of what's wrong in America.

This idea that a corporation has absolutely no responsibility for anything but profit is what has caused the economic problems on America. It is this mindset that allowed the financial corporations to make risky financial decision and sell toxic financial instruments as long as they turned a short term profit.

But we can see that in the long term this destroys both profit and the economic system that corporations and investors depend on.

And on top of all that, it is immoral and will destroy our society. Eventually, those that are taken advantage of will lose faith and alliance to such a society and its government.

I'm telling you, folks, there's going to be a revolution!

Lol do you have a pension? If you do, there's a good probability that if it hasn't invested in Bain it's invested with another private equity firm. And it's quite likely you have profited which would make you and many here hypocrites.
