Sometimes I think I hate betrayal more than I hate death. People can be so fucked up. Sad. But good story. Maybe even more so than the happily ever after marriage for a gay couple, it shows in a very public way that gay people are people too.

You mean actually threw him overboard? Anderson Cooper seems a little punk ass for that.

Imagine if Anderson didn't publicly proclaim his gayness, he probably would never have found out because those pics wouldn't have been taken or cared about and his bf would still be cheating on him today.

Those were rumors. They were seen getting off the ship together along with Andy Cohen and Kelly Ripa.

And apparently are still living together:

Pre-nup, Mr. Vanderbilt. Pre-nup. One look at the guy and he might as well have a cartoon thought balloon reading "Get the money!" over his block head.

...and by "cruise" or by "ship", the reference is, of course, not a cruise ship, the domain of the 1%, aka the riff raff, but of the 0.01%, as Croatia is a yachting destination.

Here's the "cruise ship" in question

because he's a celebrity and that's how the business works? not sure why you would need to ask that question.
Just because you're not interested in it doesn't mean millions of others aren't - and they are.

Agreed. And besides, this must be rough...having your dirty laundry put out like that. Cut him some slack.

Really nuts to do something like that since the whole thing is so public now.
A real lack of respect for Anderson.

What a clever way to make people watch an advertisement (preceding the video).

You can't "cut him some slack" if everyone (not singling anyone out) continues to offer an opinion about how he should react or how it's assumed that's he's feeling. For all anyone knows, their relationship could be fine but everyone claims to know the parameters of their relationship when in fact, we don't. We don't know if AC is a great person in real life or not but because we see him on tv, assumptions are made and his bf "lost a good catch". What if AC is an asshole? What if he cheated on his bf in the past? What if they have an open relationship?

News should be based on facts, not innuendo and speculation. All the public really knows is that his bf was kissing another guy in the park. All of the other "noise" is speculation and hearsay that blurs the line of what is newsworthy vs gossip.

If millions are so concerned about the personal life of someone they don't know (specific to celebs), their lives and the lives of their own family & friends must be pretty uneventful.

I think what Andy did is pretty pathetic - but it doesn't surprise me.
From what I've heard - Anderson's bf Ben Maisani has been complaining to friends that Anderson treats him like a possession instead of treating him like an equal partner.

That's what happens when you deal with arrogant rich people like Cooper.
He's a Vanderbilt - and people who come from that kind of privileged upbringing grow up thinking that they're better than those of us who aren't rich.

When Andy heard about the pics of his bf kissing someone else - his reaction was - I'm the one with the money - I'm the one paying for this cruise - you've done something I don't like - so I'm going to kick you off this boat and leave you stranded in a foreign country.

If Anderson considered his bf to be an equal partner he wouldn't have acted in such a lordly and insultingly superior way.
He clearly wanted to show his bf who's in charge - and to show the bf that he will be banished from Anderson's cushy lifestyle if he fails to please Andy.

It seems like these two don't have a real relationship and that it's a sugar daddy/kept boy kind of arrangement.

Good point, certainly always another side to the story.
