Aaliyah dug asian guys. It's proven. I like to think that she and Jet Li got it on..

11 years ago on the same day was a terrible car accident and survived. Some say happened around the same time her plane crashed. guess it was her time and not mine. I am grateful and pray for her.

The Black Madonna. So many good songs, so little time. Are You That Somebody is forever #1, but Rock the Boat, Back and Forth, and More Than a Woman are up there, along with everything else already posted. And this gem:

I love her in *Romeo Must Die with Jet Li. A life taken too short, I remembered I was sleeping in the dorm at Cal in 2001 when my friends told me the news. I was floored and shocked. Just to show you life is too short and precious sometimes.

I will always remember her as being a nice, attractive, young woman who made great music, movies, was about her business and not into that beef like other female artists.
Kind-hearted and dope. I quietly remembered her yesterday and reached out to her brother Rashad on twitter to express my condolences. It's hard to believe it has been eleven years for something i deem unfair and not right at all. She would have been the new Janet if she was still here.

I love all of her songs but if i were to pick would one it's this.

    She is eternally missed. icon_smile.gif

Her death still haunts me. Taken far too soon... and i see bitches like Beyonce and i think Aaliyah would have been the anti-Beyonce. She was darker and edgier and had this silky smooth voice that could make you into butter and cut right through you. She made R&B exciting.

We'll never see someone like her again.. instead we have Rihanna and Niki Minaj... grodster.

Nah! I loved Aaliyah's music. My sister R.I.P. was such an avid fan of Aaliyah. I remember her blasting her music in her room. She did have a darker tone to some of her songs. I do miss Aaliyah and her wonderfully talented dance moves and voice.
