I'm trying my best to learn and grow from my mistakes and move forward with life.

Sorry for the mushy topic, but any and all advice is appreciated.

I never did. I still love him to this day. It took me a long time, but I got past that fact.

    Immediately started dating again.

If it is over, don't dwell on it. Just move on!

Time. I couldn't really get past it until 6 months later when I found my next steady relationship.

Allowing time to accept circumstances, and grieve.
Then trying a ton of new things, meeting a ton of other people, and inviting a plethora of new experiences, friendships, mistakes, successes, and loves into your life.

Spend OBSCENE amounts of money on things You don't really need.

Allow yerself at LEAST one night where You eat too much and drink WAAAY too much.

Give Time the time it needs...then start all over again.

    And start meeting new Guys....

Complete separation, but you never get completely over anyone that you really fall in love with.

    This.

Keep your shit together though and after a while you won't mind so much. You'll eventually meet someone more permanent if that's what you're after.

You can move on, which takes time. The best way to do so is to just admit the loss, that you're sad, and there is other love out there.

Get over? That doesn't really happen.

I don't think you ever really get over him. I think you become comfortable with where you are in life.

Honestly, there is no cure that works better than time. Be patient and strong, and one day, you'll find out that you are no so attached to that person. Just try your best to pull away from him, day by day - a lot like taking baby steps.

I cried a lot I still think a lot about him. About how he made me laugh a lot it still makes me smile. I wonder what he is doing now and keep those precious memories. Val
