so, I'm in to week 2 of my recovery from foot surgery and have been streaming Netflix like a like a fat kid eating cake. It has given me the time to catch up on old shows that I have not been able to keep up with as well as watch new shows.

SO.... I got hooked on this show called "The Gates" awesome show, totally addicted and watched the season finale only to find out that it was canceled. WHY OH WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!

so on that note. any of ya'll got a show that you fell in love with but it got canceled before it's time.

I do have to say that "FIREFLY" was really good. wish they had kept up with it instead of just a movie.

I don't know why but I suddenly thought of Dr. Katz and realized how much I missed that show. Points if you actually remember it.

I was JUST musing on NBC's Passions on facebook and how just deliriously awesome that show was. It wasn't a soap... it was a soap parody with some fucking awesome subversive humor..and the craziest shit went down on that show every single day. You could hold a party and tell friends to bring beers and pot and you'd have a good time.

I was telling a straight buddy about it today and showing clips on facebook and he was shocked he missed the boat on the GENIUS that was Passions.. tv's best kept secret...

and then theres THIS piece of sublime hilarity.

i was brought up on Soap operas.. a guilty pleasure and my favorite long running one was One life to live.. i miss it dearly. Whatever real Jocks.

Other canceled shows i miss that went before their time would include HBO's Carnivale... that show was friggin genius.

I watched OLTL during the Margaret/Todd/Blair storyline where she went crazy and kidnapped him. That was the only time I watched a soap, then when Margaret got killed off I stopped.

    arrested development for sure.
also I would say firefly but I actually liked the way i happened. More tv shows should do that, 1-3 seasons of great tv and ended in a movie.

Joss Whedon is way too damn creative to be capped at 1 season and a movie. Firefly was such a bad ass show.

Other than that, all my shows are still seein' airtime. Squidbillies, Supernatural, and The Walking Dead.

    kapow saidarrested development for sure.

you could also say Joss Whedon is to creative to be trapped in one tv series. Lets end it and move on. I do think firefly ran to short, I'm just saying it was nice to see a tv show that didnt overstay its welcome. Maybe firefly should of got 3 seasons.

As others have noted Arrested Development and Firefly
But also discovered after it was on the air - Better off Ted, Wonderfalls, and Dead like me - all discovered on Netflix rather than prime time viewing
