    Do you think the world would be a better place if every guy in the world was very attractive with muscular bodies?

    I'm not sure if a question like this was asked before so if it was, I do apologize but yeah, I'm just curious as to what you all think haha.

    Would it be better? Not necessarily. There'd be still people who would be quibbling over shit and trying to make the human body dysphoric. We'd be relegating certain bodies even more disproportionately than we do already.

    We would just redefine what we found attractive.

    Think about it like this - at some points in our history - it was considered attractive to be obese.

    If everybody was a perfect 10 by today's standards, the standards would just change.

    In a sense, yes.

    Muscular bodies are often less prone to injury, or an indicator that there has been less disease and / or trauma.

    That would imply better nutrition standards, safety and health standards in the world.

    Likewise attractive is a subjective thing, but there are some universal things we find attractive - and good health is generally one of them..

    Sorry if I over-analyzed your question - but I think the over-analyzed answer is yes - definitely.

    Perpetual destruction, excess egotism, and ridiculously high standards.

    Not to mention sexy doesn't make for good comedy most of the time, nobody cares about the gorgeous guy with ripped abs that can't get a date. Think about it.

    No. In fact, I think the world would be just the same as it is now simply because we evaluate what is considered attractive.

    So in the case of everyone having nice beautiful, healthy, fit, muscular bodies and being attractive you'd have the problem of those being more or less of those traits. There will be competitiveness and there will be judgement.

    There will always be a high and low end of what's attractive.

    For a world like that to not exist it would have to be a world of single-celled organisms. Micro-organisms have it easy.

    Have you ever seen an ugly person in a soap opera? Seriously, everyone is gorgeous. And yet they still have huge problems. So I'll take a few ugly people in my life and not have to worry about my evil twin locking me in the attic or having amnesia and not knowing whether I'm the daddy of my maid's baby who just happens to be the sister I never knew I had.

    It's be pretty boring. One of the things that makes muscle so hot is it's relative scarcity.

    Oh we are the Gay community ..we would find a thousand ways to disect this standard into two thousand other sub standards..

    "I know he's attractive and muscular...BUT"

    1)He's a Chevy owner...
    2) He's too short..
    3) He's too tall..
    4) He's not ....
    5) He's...................... ...... ........... .. .. ... icon_confused.gif

    I bet there will be more accidents in this world then just being par average good looking, life would be even more pickier! like it was 9/10 you would have attraction rate of 2 decimal points like { 9.01 - 9.99 }..

    Probably only a world of artificial intelligence can achieve that and maintain that not us, we beings of emotions.

    I think its Heaven for ladies and well for us life would be more magnified and tough!!

    I believe among the se7en deadly sins, Lust would be sky high! icon_twisted.gif

    I think it would be amazing if everyone were on the exact same level of attractiveness. The focus would move away from outside to what is on the inside that defines us.

    Here's a short of two old twilight zone episodes, then a third bit on plastic surgery.

    Every guy couldn't be good-looking. Good-looking implies above average looks. But, being muscular should be everyone's goal.

    Interesting answers guys. icon_smile.gif

    And yeah, I know that if everyone in the world was very attractive, it wouldn't make much of a difference because they'd just try to set a new standard of what is attractive (light hair instead of dark, tan skin instead of pale/dark, etc.).

    @sc59: Hmm very interesting.

    @zer52: Haha I see your point. I think that the viewers would be too fixated on the main guys' look instead of the story/point of the comedy movie lol.

    @Guy101: Well I do think that sort of thing happens more often then not these days but you are right, it would still be the same, probably even worse... icon_neutral.gif

    @Coach Mike: I don't really watch soap operas but I remember when I was a little kid, my mom used to watch that show called "Days of our Lives". I found a tape that had an episode recorded on it and I watched it and everyone in that show was gorgeous haha so yeah, I enjoyed your analogy lol.

    @redsoxfan91: True. So it wouldn't be better to you if it was the norm to be that way?

    @anocxu: So true. lol

    @allatonce: Yeah, i see it from your point of view. Maybe, just maybe people would stop thinking about the outside and start focusing on the inner person if everyone was a 10/10

    @meninlove: Thanks for sharing that. I enjoyed the video. I liked the 2nd twilight zone video and that who wanted to look like Carmen Electra, yikes her "transformation" looked scary in my opinion. She looked just fine before. But I do get your point. icon_smile.gif

    @Cooper87: Of course. I think there is more to life then good looks. This was just a question for fun to dissect.

    @sweetyork: Fair enough.

    @Dominus: That's a fairly disgusting thought lol

    Personally, I can see it from both sides.

    Pros
    -Everyone would be a 10/10 (to a certain degree)
    -Maybe, people would stop focusing on the exterior of the person and more on the interior of the person.
    -Good for the people who love muscles lol
    -There would be less bullying in the looks department

    Cons
    -They would just try to make a new standard for what is attractive (Blonde hair instead of black/brown, blue eyes instead of brown, tan skin instead of pale/dark, etc.)
    -It would be even more competitive then it already is in the world.
    -Possibly, be more of a judgmental world.
    -Very high standards.
    -Less variety of body types (If muscular/bodybuilder were the norm, I think to a certain degree, it would become boring since it would be so common).

    So yeah, I see from all sides. I think I would choose to stay in the world right now. Where everyone is attractive in their own way. icon_smile.gif

    This is what it would be like if every guy was attractive.
