Assuming this isn't some... troll post,

*Shrugs* So let them. Politics and faith should be kept separate anyway, in my opinion any who. People don't have to acknowledge in a god or multiple deities collectively and they certainly should not in when it comes to matters of Governance.

Believe in God even if others do not. icon_smile.gif It's none of their business what you do just like it's none of your business what they do. icon_biggrin.gif

Even though I'm a non-believer, I must say that the good Lord really isn't necessary in this sphere. The Big Man Upstairs has other things to do besides deal with a bunch of whiny asses and crooked politicians.

Hats off to the Democrats in this regard.

I don't think the British would be keen on taking us back! They shipped off us to the New World for a reason icon_wink.gif

Besides, isn't it our duty to continue what they started since the British Empire went kaput?

Which religion and which god would they include to be all inclusive, there are many different beliefs. Politics does not equate to a subject on god, and the two don't go together and shouldn't be mix. Render unto Cesar what is Cesar (taxes, war, and money) and render unto God, what is God's (worship, thanks, and prayer) .

Yeah this is terrible... I mean, it´s not like the USA is like some countries with formally separate church and state.

Yes, if you're part of the Church of England [Episcopalian Church].

Anyone else is a damn heretic and should be burned alive.

Silly republicans, Ayn Rand was an atheist!!!!

It's funny that republicans represent both extremes, i.e. Ayn Rand and Jesus. Democrats are more focused on society in the 21st century.icon_smile.gif

I think it was a mistake to drop God from platform. It just seems like something that comes with far more negatives than positives.

Yes, I suppose you need god to pray the gay away.... Of course, with no one to answer those prayers you end up with a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering, but by all means keep promoting the belief in ancient myths.icon_rolleyes.gif

really? The founders/original settlers were RUNNING away from state IMPOSED 'church'.... NOT embracing it. They wanted FREEDOM to worship as they saw fit. I CHOOSE NOT to worship any freakin sky fairy.. to include YOURS.. dont like it? Tough shit. I hear Iran would love to have you as a citizen!icon_wink.gif

    Too Bad.

Somewhere in the platform I would have included the line:

    'GOD HATES REPUBLICAN BIGOTS!'

I have to say can we just put a disclaimer that you hate all Non Democrats.

    Your logic makes no sense.

You make the the assumption that all Republicans read Rand and are also religious.

God to pray the gay away? You defame any Gay person who is spiritual.

    ancient myths?

Lets see how far those assumptions about people in general get you through life.

If you're going to base a country on morality, then you have to choose a morality. Given that this country was founded on freedom from an established church of state, we're never going to have a country based on morality, since everyone's morals are different depending on creed, religion, faith, and basic background.

If you don't like it, then move.
