What would be in your personal heaven?

I imagine being in a calm, green, grassy field in a meadow somewhere in a meadow between the mountains, seeing my baby girl puppy Sophie running for me at high speed, kissing my face relentlessly while I hold her. Going inside a countryside home, playing on the grand piano in the living room, and looking at the starry night sky, the shooting stars and the moon with my orange tabby cat Rusty. The night bit especially evokes this music to me...

So, how do you imagine your own personal heavenly place? Would there be other people, friends or family, pets, a house, up in the clouds?

Great thread topic. I thought your vision is really dreamy ^_^

For me I would go with being in a valley somewhere in the mountains, in a warm tropical or subtropical climate. There would be plenty of flowers and trees around, with a water fall, where I would go and meditate there daily. In the afternoon I'd just dip in the stream (from the waterfall) with my family (including my hubby) and friends. Late afternoon I would start cooking from the veggies that I found in the mountains and the seafood from the stream. And at night I would just watch the stars and listen to the crickets.

I really like being in nature. We don't get enough nature in NYC icon_cry.gif

Detroit automobiles from the 1950s--fields and fields of chrome and fins. You could just climb in any one you wanted and admire it from the inside or "borrow" it and take it out for a spin. . .

I must say I've already been to this futuristic idea of heaven in this life. It was only fun temporarily.

Today there is something beyond heaven.
It's called 'today' -not yesterday and not tomorrow.

That's what would be in my heaven.

Have most of it now...all seasons of Columbo, Mary Tyler Moore Show, Charlie's Angels, and Hawaii Five O on DVD...and my '69 Mach 1 and '70 Caddy. Only thing missing would be the complete library of the Nixon tapes...

Lots on nuns praying that people leave their sexuality on earth so that heaven can be purified and all love be directed at The Father. All the prostitutes and drug addicts will crowd hell like they crowd prisons. Parents who didn't accept their gay children will be vindicated when they realize their children indeed went to hell. Oh yeah, and women will be subordinate like it says in the Bible.icon_eek.gif

Tanx. Step-dad actually and a great influence in my life. Dad's still around, in his 80s and on facebook.

The confidence I admired in him was in how he approached the world. If he feared it at all, he conquered that. Left his family legacy behind and made his own way. My father, on the other hand, abandoned by his family, let them destroy his confidence and his faith in others.

My confidence deals not with the outside world as I am conflicted between two patterns I imprinted upon but with the world within about which I have no fear to explore, having owned it outright since I was a child.

So heaven for me is awash in the traits and influences that have made life worth living. It's what we have here, minus the pain.
