The results of the Lawrence vs.Texas case may have an influence on hte Court's meeting later this month.

But watch out for Justice Scalia!! He was the big dissenter in the Lawrence vs. Texas case, he could do some damage here.

Unfortunately, I think we are about five to ten years away from the SCTOUS touching the same-sex marriage question in a meaningful way. Hopefully, that will not be the case with other important issues facing the LGBQT community.

I think when the Court is presented with questions pertaining to gay rights, all of the decisions will be narrowly-tailored to specific issues of the case in front of them.

But hell, sometimes the Court surprises you (see John Roberts in the recent health care decision).

In any event, as one great civil rights leader eloquently stated, "the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." It's only a matter of time before the marriage equality along gay rights are recognized by the high court.
