pretty cool that they stayed on the air all morning. He got VERY EMOTIONAL calls and updates from bystanders in NY, ppl on their roof, cab drivers. Alot of listeners in NYC said it helped them know what was going on in the city.

thanks for posting. I was listening to Howard that morning. Will always remember how he went from talking about Pam Anderson to planes hitting the World Trade Center and how the story just kept evolving. Howard was very calm and really helped alot of people out with information and coping with the situation. Really should be commended for staying on the air and providing that service.

hearing their live reactions and the anger from the callers was very intense. Gave me goosebumps. He def made alot of ppl feel better that day, esp when they had that feeling like the world was ending

Just listened to the first half hour of this, but it's terribly raw and chilling...shoud be required listening for all school children to remind them of that terrible day...

it's easy to slap the "shock-jock" label on Howard but he's gotta be considered one of the most talented broadcasters of all time. immense talent.

had me tearing a bit at times throughout the broadcast. Robin's input was cool too, her and Howard are a great team
