All joking aside, name something you used to do as a boy that kids can't do anymore.

Play in the streets around the neighborhood ... I miss doing that. And I don't see anyone doing that. Most kids have to check their facebook or something.

Complain about Guido raising the price of a slice to a whole quarter but then eating as much as I wanted without considering weight gain.

That was the best pizza, however. Been searching for it ever since. Finally found very similar in NY http://bleeckerstreetpizzeria.com/, a long way to drive from Florida just for a slice. But, hey, it's pizza and there's not a lot in life more important.

    When I was young....

I vividly remember making home-made gun powder from sulfur, saltpeter and ground up BBQ briquettes with my best friend. We may have been 12-13 but were extremely careful so we made really tiny batches. I'll always remember the face of the pharmacist when he asked us why we needed more saltpeter, lol!

It seems like a different universe now.

Ya, it is definitely a different world from what it was back then. I remember you could go to a place similar to walgreens and there was whole wall of bottle with chemistry powders and chemicals and you could buy them no questions asked.

Well, just this weekend I noticed that the kids swimming hole is full of yuppies. There's no room for the kids any more. icon_cry.gif

On the other hand, kids can't get smallpox or polio any more icon_wink.gif

Watch horror movies with my mom and eat unbelievable amounts of candy and pie.

I used to spend so much time with her... and now that I'm so busy with college, I don't get to see her as much. That's really saddening to me. icon_sad.gif

Play "kick the can" with the neighbourhood kids in the street.

Dance "the twist" and "the jerk".

See the "Beatles", "Sonny and Cher" and the "Mommas and the Poppas" in concert while smoking cigarettes to be "cool".

Go to a drive in and drink root beer floats and get an ice cream headache.

Hide out in the bomb shelter and pretend like my buds and I are the last kids on earth.
