I ask guys that and I hear, "no not really... i gues maybe its my...." Without getting on your soapbox, or trying to make yourself look like you have your shit together, I'd like to know how many of us know what we're good at (non-sexually). You can email me your answer too, if you want your answer to be private.

Yes. But what I consider my strengths can be perceived as my weaknesses by others.
Pessimism is obviously one of my strengths.

I'm reasonably good at playing mental chess on the spot during a conversation (e.g. insta-analyzing if I say something what type of response that will cause and in turn how I'll respond to it and what THAT response will entail from the other party etc.). I have a pretty good conversation filter...which can be a little manipulative because the conversation loses genuineness when you're planning your responses 3 steps ahead.

They say that your greatest strength is often your greatest weakness too!

Mine would probably be that I am quite deliberate, however my deliberateness can easily turn into indecision and hesitancy at times.

Of course I know my strengths. I also know how a strength in one area can be applied as a strength in a completely different area (i.e. my analytical skills) than I'm used to using it in.
I am also very much aware of my weaknesses, as it's not much use knowing your strengths if you don't know or are unwilling to acknowledge your weaknesses at the same time.

I am pretty mellow. It's very hard for me to not remain calm so I consider that an asset and I think i'm pretty resourceful and persistent when i'm trying to accomplish something.

I had to go through a battery of assessments recently, so I'm painfully aware of what my strengths and weaknesses are.

I can I.D. most late-model cars from the late 80's-present at just a glance, often without seeing more than a corner, bumper, light or fender. I can usually do it for 1950 through the mid-70s as well and later model cars i can I.D. by just their head or taillights at night. (in the eighties everything kind of just got muddled together). I can also drive just about anything with wheels (still need to learn how to shift gears on a motorcycle though) and drive it fairly well (the key being understanding every vehicles strengths and shortcomings).

I am incredibly ambitious, even to a fault. If I put my mind to it, whatever it may be, it's going to happen. I'll find the way to get the education, knowledge and skills needed to do the task. My guess is that it goes hand-in-hand with my extreme fear of failure.

    great question.

I'm extremely analytical and an observer. Always have been and when i was younger that analyzing worked against for and against me. But because i was not afraid to question the question i can say that now analyzing and being a wall flower pays off.. and one of those pay offs is that i can say "Yes, i know what my strengths are." with much conviction and follow through. I think taking the time to get to know who and what you are to the best of your abilities and still maintain understanding that you change through time, thus a few years you'll have to take re-inventory, is indeed a strength.

I'm realist too. Which means i can readily accept grey areas.. since that is pretty much what life is. Sharp contrast is rare.

Another strength i know that i have is creativity. I'm a quick thinker and solution orientated and you gotta be creative to find solutions when there are none. I'm also adaptable to nearly any situation and i'm a conscious listener.

I also feel my street smarts help balance out my "headiness" and "cerebralness". I know people very well on a "street" level. Something that can't exactly be written in a book.. and that, i say, has served me very well later in the 20's having spent the first half of them not being able to read people or know when i am in a bad situation or what most likely will follow if i do ____.

    Did i get the job?
