Best pre and post-workout supplements.

    Recognizing that supplements contribute about 2 percent of the total toward your physique goals (diet = 50%, sleep = 24%, balls to the walls training = 24%), I would suggest a nitric oxide for pre, and any good whey isolate with healthy carbs for post-workout.

    Sep 12, 2012 5:43 PM GMT real important. Sleep is also important. I like all the Species products personally. I have a friend who is a sales rep too which helps. The type and quantity depends on whether you are cutting weight or bulking. I do like a few of the pre-workout drinks... C4 is my favorite. It tastes good and really makes me focus. MR1 is one I did not care for. I also use test booster because of my age which contains Tribulus. D-asparctic acid is supposed to be good also. I could ramble on for a while... I am bulking now and have gained 30lbs. Will start cutting right after Christmas in preparation for my first show. 16-18 weeks of cutting to achieve single digit body fat. I am working with a female IFBB pro and her fiance now so I am in good hands...I will post pics when I reach the 200lb mark and then again just before the show. Good luck.

    Good advice, thanks guys. I take C4 and like it a lot. Bulking right now, so using a mass gainer. Diets about to get real strict too.

    I have used Neurocore, MP Assault, 1MR, A1 Maniac, and just recently Dark Rage. Neurocore (old formula) was the best for me. I haven't tried the new re-formulated stuff but I am sure it works just the same. I bought like 6 tubs total throughout especially when they were like $15 when they were trying to get rid of the old formula ones.... best one I have used... as of yet. You can really feel the tingle and energy.

    Dark Rage is the one I am using now and oh man, It made me want to punch a hole in the wall... It didn't hit me as hard at first and I didn't feel insane tingles like I did with Neurocore but I sure felt it 40 minutes later... I was killing it. It had me pumping like no other. I am actually quite happy with it dude.

    As my post workout I would drink 2 scoops of protein and 2 scoops of gatorade powder. Actually was pretty good and well any and all results I have had were of course due to my hard work at the gym but as far as the supplements it all comes down to treating your body right and giving it what it needs before and after a work out.... especially after a work out.

    You said you're using C4... how are you liking that and how does it make you feel? That is one I have meant to try but never got around to it.

    You could also save some money and just do whey before and after. And then casein before bed.

    I know a lot of people that don't believe in Pre's including a fitness competitor friend that believes your body has it limits for a reason. But all up to the individual's personal preference.

    Nerocore and Isopure are the two that I use... I've had a lot of success with both. Cheers.
