I have been told by a lot of people I could be a model but I'm still not so sure about it. So I am gonna ask for the thoughts on this matter from you guys here on RJ in rather or not if I should try it out or just pass. Your inpute means a lot to me.

If you can handle the blistering criticism you'd receive on this forum (if previous modeling threads are any indication) you can certainly survive giving it a try. You should also clarify what type of modeling you're considering since while there may be rare exceptions, even 6' today is considered a bit short for runway.

Probably just run of the meel type of modeling comercial here comercial there then maybe get into more serious stuff maybe even start doing my own modeling thing like Lady Gaga has been doing for a while now. I'm into weird stuff like that lol. I can take criticism from people just as long as its not the person I'm in a relationship with.

If your height in your profile is accurate, you're pretty much out of the running for Fashion/Editorial/Runway.

Probably 90% of male models are 6'-6'1" and I've never seen a reputable agency that will take a male model below 5'10 for Fashion.

Height requirements are probably the one thing modeling agencies don't budge on the most.

You are a good looking guy, but at 20, 5'9" and 160, I'm not sure which modeling you would fitted for. I think you needed to be in the business from a few years younger, and I'm not one to crush one's dreams, because I'm sure you probably could find some modeling jobs, but I don't think you would be doing the big runway jobs or GQ jobs unless you are hooked up with a highly reputable agency.

Ok, but don't forget the sunscreen! I'm serious, if you care about your looks it will make a huge difference in your life.

If you're ready for some harsh criticism, then go for the industry. You'll get tons. i'll start - your looks are not versatile at all. After looking at your pictures, you look one-dimensional and could be easily passed over someone that shows different sides of their looks. Spice it up, build on your rapport, build a portfolio, profile. At 5'10'', I hate to break to you but you have a minimal chance getting into fashion/catwalk modelling.

    Okay....that's just creepy.

Not the condom modelling...frankly, I'd love to see pics of that. icon_twisted.gif

But at the same moment you typed that in this thread, I made the EXACT same comment in this one: http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/2664435 (And just an FYI to others, we're each in our own homes, blocks away, and didn't coordinate on that.)

    That's scarey ESP, babe. icon_biggrin.gif

I saw that too! ZOMG! icon_lol.gif

It's a hard, thankless job. Though you do get free clothes after the shows (and if they don't give them to you it's really easy just to grab a bunch and sneak out the back when the show's wrapping up). But yeah you're too short. I just happened to luck onto the magic number of 6'1 (the most stringent of requirements consider 6'0 sometimes a dash too short and 6'2 a dash too tall, but 6'1 is the magical number no one can refute).

I think you could pick up print work immediately!..I think you definately have an edge to your looks!

Now you might get some flack about runway work.. height req. 5'11 - 6'1

But i think your photos are dynamic and you should go agency hopping..
    Good luck..get famous..and call me! icon_redface.gif

I did it a few years ago. I'm a little long in the tooth now for it, I'm balding and I'm not a sample size anymore. It's also badly paid work. Each assignment may pay well on its own but's not a consistent 9-5 income 5 days a week. There's only a handful of superstar male models in the world who make a high consistent salary.
