This is what "pathetic" looks like!

In their 'news release' in response to congressman Franks labeling them them "uncle toms", http://www.logcabin.org/site/apps/nlnet/content2.aspx?c=nsKSL7PMLpF&b=6420733&ct=12169761
This was part of their response:
Finally, it is simply ridiculous to pretend that Log Cabin Republicans haven’t spoken out about the freedom to marry. Between the full page pro-marriage equality ad we ran in the Tampa Tribune, the Young Conservatives for the Freedom to Marry brunch we hosted for Republican National Convention attendees, and our visible and vocal presence at the platform deliberations, our work at the Republican National Convention highlighted marriage as a priority, and our record on this issue is undeniable. Barney conveniently forgets that it was at a Log Cabin Republicans event where Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen became the first Republican to cosponsor the repeal of DOMA, and that it was a promise made to the Log Cabin Republicans of New York that made possible the vote in a GOP-led state senate for marriage in the Empire State.

    Note the bolded part!
Now mind you as a Tampa Bay resident for the last 8 yrs, the 'tribune' is a paper with a very small readership. The flagship bay area paper is the Tampbay Times(formerly St Petersburg Times) which is on par with the NY Times, L.A. Times etc..with worldwide readership..

How pathetic to take a full page in a scantily read paper and then stand on that action as being 'bold' or 'big'........

Gawd, how stupid are these morons?
Wanna see the pathetic ad they placed?

Wow, talk about looking at the glass half empty. Maybe they couldn't afford an ad in the flagship paper. At least they ran an ad. I also thought using the quote by Tony Perkins, and then applying that to gay marriage was clever. They are trying to change minds from the inside -- and, believe it or not they are having a positive effect, albeit it's a painfully slow process. I see the positive in this. Yes, TM, we know what "pathetic" looks like. icon_wink.gif

I hate to be the one to break it to you but it's 2012 and the party you support and the nominee you support are still opposed to civil unions....
I realize you embrace being a second class citizen. Thankfully, most of us
have a bit more self esteem.

LMAO... 'couldnt afford it'? The local CHEVY dealer does it every sunday!icon_rolleyes.gif
AND if you knew anything about 'advertising' (which I know you cannot deny and you know damn well what I am talking about below), when one 'looks' at the ad they see three things:

Tony perkins quote about 'the institution of marriage"
    "we agree"
    and "family values"

Everything else is in the FINE print.

I'm sure we'll hear all about the "positive effects" upon his return.
