    Sucks, doesn't it?icon_cry.gif

Especially if you don't care one bit for football, like me.

I just wish I never have to hear the fools who call into the radio shows declaring, "NEVER AGAIN!" and "THAT'S IT! I'M DONE!" and "NOT ONE MORE DIME!" The fans will be back, and they and the owners and players all know it.

I've yet to find someone who became an ex-fan due to the lockouts ('95, '05) and stayed an ex-fan for more than one season.

I don't think that the NHL can afford to have another lockout. They lost an entire season just 8 years ago! The fans - especially those in Minnesota - would be beyond pissed....

Right when my Blues are back on the rise too...terrible timing for another lockout.

I just can't believe they cancelled all of the games for November...this really sucks! Was hoping my Sabres could produce some magic this year.

That is awesome! I actually play right wing. But you are right at least if I can't watch hockey...I can play it when season starts for us in a couple of weeks

I just play in a local league...not a gay specific hockey league. Do you?

I'm not missing hockey yet...NFL is keeping me going for now, but once the Junior Tourney starts over the holidays I'm going to be jonesing again.

What pisses me off is that the owners and players are acting like seagulls fighting over french fries in a McDonald's parking lot...forgetting that WE THE FANS are the ones throwing the french fries!

I know once hockey comes back the fans will too..but I think a good statement to make would be on the first Saturday night the NHL plays..nobody goes to the games (just stay home and watch it) ONE game to show the owners and players where the money comes from. Hell, I think we should get involved in the CBA as well. How about this for a revenue split: 45% to owners, 45% to players and 5% back to the fans in terms of lowering ticket prices in various markets, concession prices in the stands and team souveniers...Make going to a hockey game a family affair again and not just a corporate one!

I'm a season ticket holder for the Predators and I'm pissed. They already took a shitload of my money and I can only get credits back. I'm sorry, but hockey has royally pissed me off for a while. I know I probably never will dismiss the sport altogether, but it's pretty damn close. But that's okay, gives me more time to go see a few more college basketball games.

I'm surprised they're doing it. I don't think they can afford another, considering they had one so recently... You think it's bad now, but if the NHL goes bankrupt, it'd be pandemonium.

And to think people still like unions...

Love unions. Unfortunately we all love our greedy owners more. icon_razz.gif

I play in str8 leagues. Althought my "GAYDAR" has gone off a few times. I can't get enought hockey. I'm glued to the TV for any re-broadcast of games, but what I'll really miss is the the All Star game.

Ha, the all-star game is one that i don't really care about. The winter classic though, i was really looking forward to. Although, in chicago, we will have a college hockey tournament in february that will be played outdoors, in soldier field. that should be cool. don't think i will go to it, though, since i don't care about any of the teams, but they will also have a high school tourney, as well, and i may go to that, just because tickets will be really cheap and it'll be cool to see any sort of organized hockey, even if it's high school boys, played outdoors, in a football stadium.

If you like in a minor league city, there is still plenty of hockey. Here, we have the AHL affiliate of San Jose. You get great play at affordable prices.

I am dreading this lockout. I love going to hockey games. Went to a few panthers games last season and they were a blast.

Now I'm in Chicago for college and I AM DYING to see a blackhawks game and this NHL lockout is making things boring and frustrating. Looks like no season this year. icon_sad.gif

Sadly, this lockout has hurt our fine city financially, especially when the football here SUX.

    Let's Go Sabres!

Oh yeah, all the downtown restaurants and bars in Buffalo are really suffering big time. No NHL means no crowds coming downtown for the games at First Niagara Center. It stinks but what can you do?
