Winter is getting close and I am already thinking about snow. Every year, I try to go to a famous resort I have never been and this year I am thinking about visiting Jackson Hole for around 4 day skiing.

Since I have never been there, it is going to be quite difficult to get the real information through pictures and articles. So, I was wondering if you have recommendation on the area to stay or when to visit (a lot of times January can be quite dry and February can be brutally cold). Any other real tip will be greatly appreciated.

I've only been once. Skiing was awesome and my friends and I had a great time. We stayed at the Snake River Lodge & Spa

It's an incredible resort w/ all the ammenities you could want, a spa, an indoor/outdoor heated pool, an outdoor hot tub, great bar, good food nearby or you can go to town by car and be there in 5-10 minutes.

It sits right on the mountain so you can walk outside of the hotel and be ready to catch your lift. I highly recommend this place and would go back in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the info. The resort looks great so I am going to check it out. BTW, which month did you go there? How was the snow?

Thanks for the site info. Actually I found a ski group in NYC ( and one of the group's trips is Jackson Hole. I am going to join them and I will be there from 1/19~1/24. The leader of the group organizes everything so I do not have to worry a thing. I am very looking forward to it. If anybody is going to be there around that time, let me know. The more the merrier!
