Well it's about time. I recall listening to a sports radio call-in show on the Canadian Broadcasting Corp quite a few years ago and was astonished to find the program did an episode on gays in professional sports, breaking a huge taboo. They had a couple of gay pro athletes speak about their experience but their voices were altered to protect their identify. Within minutes the show was flooded with massive complaints from outraged listeners. Clearly society wasn't ready to admit that gays had the right to play pro sports.

It's just amazing to me how much progress had been made in the last couple of decades.

It's only a matter of time before all pro athletes come out.

After all, why else would they choose a career that has them in a locker room with other fit guys most of the time?
